What a beautiful place to spend an hour making memories on the play ground and the carosel. Each ride beautifully crafted and named!

They charge for kids under 2.....very very much a money grab place, unfortunately. Especially when a birthday party was going on for my niece but it ended 30 mins prior (apparently) so, no free rides after 'specific time' But for 200 bucks!!! you'd think she'd have gotten the whole day not just a few hours...that's just crazy to me.

This was absolutely perfect for a summer day! The people running the carousel were great. Snacks and bathrooms were available. They also had a arts and crafts table for the kids to enjoy at no charge.

What a cute little place for the little kiddos to enjoy! We first enjoyed the playground while we waited for the carousel to open. My 3 and 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed their time! The lady at the counter was very friendly and helped us out. And the gentleman Manning the carousel was just as nice. My girls took the ride 6x's and it was definitely well worth it. We also appreciated the free coloring and animal mask making station.

we visit here this pass 4th of july. not much was going on in the town and not too many people were out and about. which was surprising to me. we came across here and i love older carousels. this one was a little smaller than i expected but very nice and well care for. my 14 year old like the area but wasn't into it. but all the younger kids were having a blast. my wife and i had couldn't pass up a ride. tho it was a little short we enjoyed being a kid once again. it was a nice touch the put out watermelon and cookies for their guest. they do have a small selection of drinks to purchase but my wife and son were looking for some cotton candy, popcorn or hot dogs to snack on. the gift shop was ok but i was thinking since the carousel in the main attraction. maybe it would be nice to have more of a carnival theme like carnival food, music and carousel items to buy in the gift shop. all in all the park grounds are big enough for kids to run around safely and keep clean. the carousel is nice, bathroom are clean and the staff was friendly. a good place to have some fun with your kids. more small town should have a place like this.

Awesome place! Very cool talking to the employees who are volunteers giving their time & knowledge of the area & of the absolutely Priceless animal carvings that make up the ride! As an amateur, woodworker myself, I truly mean priceless. They are amazing Word that must’ve taken hours to create. It was explained to us that every piece was hand carved, then painted then delivered onsite 100% free of charge by local artists! The whole carousel was donated!Each animal has details that really make them one of a kind masterpieces! My daughter is a “carousel aficionado” at age 3 going on 30 fell in love with 1 & made sure she told everyone for the next 3 days that it was her favorite favorite! A Linx Coincidental & appropriately named “Moonlight” a beautifully stunning carving (with a bunny in a lunchbox In my opinion) Yes, I failed to mention that each carving was given a name & has a back story with their very own coloring sheet that was given free of charge at the arts & crafts table which itself is next to the puzzle table (my wife's favorite part) a gift shop & outdoor playground makes this a must visit spot if you are staying in the area or just passing through! I highly recommend stopping by to see this place with your kids or just to lay your eyes on a hidden work of art that otherwise you may have never known was there!Side note:(my favorite was Ranger! A Toolbelt toting trash panda (raccoon) who may just be my spirt animal!)

Beautiful carousel filled with hand carved local animals. Nice staff small gift shop. It is $2.50 to ride or You can purchase a punch card at a savings. Available for special events. Check to see if they are open. When we went it was Thursday thru Sunday

Fun place for kids to ride the carousel and run off some energy in the playground next to it. The carousel is inexpensive and well maintained and the staff very friendly. My daughter loved it.

My son and I were camping at Meachem Lake near by. We came to Saranac to check it out. The carousel and surrounding displays were fun but the whole place seemed really static and sleepy. That may be because there were no people there when we got there but it was a weekend day. The carousel was cool. They have animals in it from the area...ALL the animals...including black flies, lol! For any of you who aren't familiar, black flies are the scourge from hell and folks in the area have learned to have a healthy sense of humor about them.

Great time at the carrousel for all. We had been coming to the Saranac/Lake Placid region since ‘08 and had no idea this was here until now. We will most likely be back next time we’re in town.

This is a great carousel with all the different hand sculpted animals to ride on makes it very unique. It was very reasonably priced too. The people who ran the carousel were very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. A must see if you are in the Saranac Lake area.

Great place to bring your kids. Perfect location to get the kids out for the day. There's a park right outside of the carousel 🎠 and Stewart's is right across the street .

Had my daughter’s 6th birthday party here. Hired a clown to show up and Jerry the owner was very accommodating with all our requests. He was very easy and great to work with. Thanks for making our party so memorable!

Beautiful and unique carousel with all local animals. My children (2,5) loved picking which animal to sit on, and looking for the ladybug on each. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed a few minutes at the coloring table. A really great stop and we'll visit when we're in the area again.

What a beautiful experience to be apart of……an autumn tapestry by rail…. To be able to pierce into the center of the forest and be able to ride parallel to the Hudson was an experience that everyone should have..: as others have mentioned, the staff were so nice and pleasant. We did the pumpkin patch tour, which was fun and a nice souvenir to take back with us (included in the price)… the drive up was absolutely beautiful, just a little ways pass Lake George…. If looking for peace and quiet you got it, if looking for a romantic date, you got that too…Great for all ages…and a great work outWill definitely refer others to enjoy ….and we will definitely come back to experience one of the many other tours.

We took the North Bridge Run railbike trip in fall 2021. The path was really beautiful and easier than we thought. Kids had a lot of fun. The bridge portion was really amazing with colors. This is a must do activity around Lake George. It is better to make a reservation ahead of time.The staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating and this makes the whole experience even more pleasant.Highly recommend this activity.

We’ve done the rail bike with Revolution Rail twice and we love the North Creek trail. It’s a fantastic view as you bike parallel to the Hudson River. The nature views are fantastic, the staff is wonderful, and the rail bikes are well maintained. It’s a nice and easy 2 hour fun activity for the entire family.

Another great adventure in upstate NY. Revolution Rail Co in North Creek offers a great and unique attraction of rail riding. The timeliness, amicable service and unique experience merits a 5 star rating.They also have a train museum near the store.

Revolution Rail is definitely an experience you aren't going to get in many places. The views are mostly trees and train tracks, but there are a few really lovely views over the river. We had a mixed-age group (teenagers to late 60s) and everyone was able to manage the rail bikes with little difficulty. Our tour took a little over 2 hours. Make a reservation if you will be here in the high tourist season.

Very nice experience. Not a lot of uphill on the trail over the Hudson and it is beautiful. Fall would definitely be perfect with the leaves changing. This was our 3rd trip and we always enjoy it.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful views and scenery, it is a pretty good workout but it is definitely not hard and is very manageable with a partner. Plenty of time to take pictures, plenty of places to get good pictures. They also have bathroom and place to buy gifts and drinks. Definitely recommend this one.

We went with a group of friends on a beautiful day. There also happened to be a celebration of Theodore Roosevelt and people were dressed in costume playing the characters. We took the southern route for 7 miles. It was a lovely way to spend the day. It was exercise, but not overly challenging. I had to buy a hat as it was sunny… do a hat is a good idea. Definitely worth the trip.

I can't say enough about this excursion. It was a beautiful ride through woods and near the river. Loved the trestle bridge, breathtaking views! It was the perfect point to turn bikes around so we could take a potty break and meander down to the river. So pretty! The ride back was easier on the legs/knees since it was downhill (1% grade to Trestle Bridge). The staff made the trip for me because they were so friendly and informative. Rich was very engaging with us and even suggested other points/lunch in area. The museum was very neat as well as caboose car when we got back to train station. One other note, it is a great idea to have different games around to play while waiting for the bus and instructions at the start. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Loved it. We did the North Creek south river run. It takes about 2 hours. Good moderate activity for all age groups. Beautiful views is a plus.

I loved loved this activity, and so did my kids and husband. The staff were so nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. Bus driver Paul was funny, and so were the guides once we got to the site. The scenery was beautiful (spring). The one thing they mentioned online before booking is bug repellent. I tell you, it's a must!! There are a lot of them. It's a peaceful ride, and I recommend it.

What a cool experience! You bike on a rail track and see the foliage and river. You get to the end and get a break. They run rain or shine. It rained on us and it was still a cool experience. I recommend taking a poncho or waterproof pants and a jacket. They provide umbrellas but it doesn’t help. I highly recommend trying to get the very front or very back because you get an unobstructed view.

One- of-a-kind, fun and safe experience. A formal safety speech before climbing aboard and peddling 3 miles on an old rail line that hasn't been turned into a trail. At the end they turn around the rail equipment and you have a chance to walk down to the waters edge(Hudson River) before the 3 mile journey back on the "bike" with opportunities to take pictures on the way back. Staff is great and ensures all have fun.

We had a fantastic time rail biking! The views were phenomenal! Ed and Noah were very kind and extra accommodating for us. This was one of the best things we did on our honeymoon in the Adirondacks. Can't wait to go again in the future!

Have been on many rail bike trips with different companies this one was most excellent. I am not sure if it was the friends or the scenery but it checked all the boxes. We had the best time. Restrooms available in both ends. Scenery in between and horses at the end. Suggestion maybe remind everyone to stay on the same car on the way back.

The staff was great. The ride was super fun. We packed some drinks in coolers and took them with us. The trip did go quickly. You peddle out, stop and turn around and go back where you came from. At the halfway point we had time to snack, have a drink and jump in the river. We would do it again. We also did the river float after the rail bike. The river float is a separate company and was not nearly as fun because you are not allowed out of your tube and cannot take off the giant PFD.

We had a great time on our visit to revolution rail co! We rented 2 quad bikes and one two seater for six adults and 3 kids (2, 4 and 5). There was a safety seat for the 2 y/o that made us feel very secure. It was a surprisingly good workout, scenic (so many butterflies!) and super fun, and the staff were all super nice. We’d happily come back again in fall or visit another location!

This was so much fun!! The staff were amazing & so friendly. The southern run along the Hudson was just gorgeous. The ride was physical, but not more than I, as an out of shape 51 year old, couldn’t handle with my hubby kicking in his half.

If you love the outdoors and your children do too, this is most definitely the place to take them for an educational and activity filled day of fun. Indoor and outdoor activities. The coolest spiderweb you can get into. Even cooler tree house with suspension like foot bridges to get you to and from. Every other step is a learning experience. We can also take a moment to appreciate mother nature a lot more. Understand it is us who can keep her beautiful and clean. A day you won't forget.

It was a bit expensive for what it is. We enjoyed our time there but it's not very large. My daughter really loved the interactive globe. Although I think if it were busier this would have been something we wouldn't have been able to do.I enjoyed that the otters were playing the whole time we were there. The bridges on the walk were fun. The musical area wasn't what I was expecting, just music playing in the woods. I'm glad we got to explore here, I'm just not sure how it's "usa today's #1"

Have been going there for 3 years now. This year we have bought a membership because we will just keep going there.Exciting and educational. Kids love to explore and learn hands on. New engaging exhibits were added this year and they were soo much fun. We mostly go in summer and fall, but last year’s winter trip was also unforgettable.Each time we go we learn something new.Indoor exhibits also engage kids and hands on learning. We drive for over an hour each way, but it is hands down worth it.

This is a wonderful family attraction with displays inside and outside. Great learning experiences revolving around agriculture, eco-systems, mother nature. I loved it. Outdoor trails are peaceful, eagle's nest is a must, super cool time.

I took my parents there, and we all had a good time! The Wild Walk itself is already a major attraction. It's also very kid-friendly. The museum as well as the nature trails are good too. We saw a live showcase of a 17-year old porcupine there and local toads licking crickets lol!

Fun, knowledge, filled trail with interactive things to do throughout. Was a bit busy on a Saturday (especially the spider web). Fun experience. Indoors there was a small cafeteria, trout/turtle exhibit, interactive museum items. Pretty fun, overall!

What a cool experience. They have all the animals inside. They have a whole section on really interesting plants and climate change. They have an outdoor wild walk with a huge spider web, a stick hut, and a birds nest along with interactive things like horn ears so you can hear like a deer, sound holes in a tower with bridges. They have donation plates with awesome quotes. Me and my friend spent an hr here and had a blast. Great for families or if you want to go check out something cool.

Paid around $80 for 3 adults and a teen... definitely more than I expected but it was a great family outing with so much cool stuff to see and experience. The musical forest was really neat, as were all the tree top structures and play areas. Inside had way more to experience than I anticipated. Overall a great time and I'd say, for the most part, worth the price.

We had a fantastic time with kids 18mo - 10 years old. It was pretty easy to get around with a rugged style stroller as many paths are ADA compliant although some sections would be impossible with a stroller or wheelchair. The museum itself is lovely. Recommend you bring a picnic if coming from far away as they have a nice outdoor picnic area. They have lots of programming from around 10-4 so you can really make a day of it.

The late December Christmas lights is spectacular walking in the woods at night with jazz festive music and lights all surrounding the tress and woodlands beautiful to walk dress warm and they do serve hot chocolate to stay comfy

The Wild Center is awesome! We came on a summer weekday so it was busy but not packed. The inside portion is really cool & informative. Hands on for kids. There’s tanks of local fish found in the ADKs as well as otters. The cafe seemed really good even though we just got coffee. The gift shop was great too and had lots of cool stuff to buy. Then you go outside and it’s like a playground for kids & adults. Beautiful scenery, clean, and just fun! I would definitely recommend stopping here for a few hours if in the area!

Fantastic place to spend time in the woods. With handicap accessible trails & views. Lots of fun engagement opportunities for kids of all ages. Can book a canoe trip in afternoons for all skill levels. The visitor center has a gift shop, cafe, hands-on activities, tons of displays about the local wildlife & live fish, turtles, frogs, plants & otters to see! Well worth the trip & will be returning for other events here!

Great destination to go to while visiting the Adirondacks. The interpretive center is fun and educational. The playful otters are the highlight here. Watch them pick up a stone, place it on their head and swim with it

Super cool place to visit! We went with three generations of our family and everyone loved it. We were there about three hours and still didn’t see everything. We were able to borrow a pass from our local library which saved us some money.

Honestly a great place for everyone, this coming from a college kid. Personally I loved the animal exhibits and enjoyed the trails available. Everything is very accessible and labeled as such on the paper map provided, (indicated there were stairs along a route) which is incredibly helpful as my dad has a bum knee. Definitely recommend for kids but all ages can get something out of it!

So much fun! We took our 1 year old and he was able to walk around and explore. He had a blast and so did us adults. Indoor exhibits from animals, and ecosystems to agriculture and more. Outdoor trails and the wild walk trail were well kept. The spider web was a big hit for the kids. Great attraction for families.

The Wild Center was such a fun adventure! The wild walk portion is super great, especially for kids but even adults!). Make sure to bring bug spray because the bugs are no joke. Even early in the morning (10 am ish) they were out in full force.The portion indoors is nicely done, but on the smaller side. We spent about an hour and 15 minutes or so with everything — but we didn’t do the walking trails because of the heat— so that could add another hour or so.It is a little on the expensive side for me. I don’t usually mind paying to go to these things, but I was a little shocked that we spent like $70-$75 for a family of three… not too unlike other museums, but still felt excessive for what was there.But hey, the turtles are cool.

I’m from Vermont and this was my first time visiting! There was so much to explore! We enjoyed the Wild Walk, the Stickwork, and the Museum. The otters were the highlight of the trip though!!! They were so playful and so interesting to watch. Truly incredible, I can’t wait to take my son back years to come.

Was suppose to hike in the ADKs but due to flood we ended up here instead and it was a really fun experience for everyone. Our kids are 7 and 9. We went on a Saturday and it wasn’t annoyingly busy. We really enjoyed the sky walk and the raquette trail. Really fun activity to do while hiking the trail and we loved the educational plaques along the way. The museum is fun and informative. There’s a lot to see and do. Overall we spent 4 hours here and we didn’t even cover it all. The volunteers doing the educational booths were a great addition as well. We love any extra learning. Thank you for the fun experience! Highly recommend checking this place out.

Great place to grab a fresh brew and a bite to eat.

A really cool, if not a bit loud, open lodge style brewery. Really like the option of 3 different food trucks outside. Beer variety was pretty good, really liked the sour options they had. Their merch game is wild, like 20% of the interior is dedicated to all the options - definitely something for everyone. They also have a covered patio outside in addition to the indoor seating.

A friend of mine owns a cabin in Cranberry Lake, about 30 minutes West of Raquette River Brewing, and every year when we go up to stay there we make an effort to come here at least once or twice. An absolutely mind-blowing amount of different brews and drinks to savor, paired with awesome food trucks (my personal go-to is Marketplace, which had a fantastic wing-rib combo this past week) and fast, friendly service. It’s also decently affordable considering its location in the Adirondacks. Enjoyed my return this year and looking forward to heading back next summer too.

I used to live across the street from the brewery when it all started out. The parking was a nuisance but they corrected it by demolishing the house across the street from my childhood house. There are at least 2 food trucks depending on the seasons to accommodate dining while enjoying their experimental draft beverages. It is kid & family friendly but the full experience is for those 21+. The pizza is healthy not greasy at all.

Came in for some beers and was super happy. There's a very chill vibe here and it's Adirondack through and through.The vibe is definitely cabin in the woods feel.They had 3 food trucks the day we came and I believe the have at least one all the time. So while they don't serve their own food - they always have it on site.Our server was very friendly and knew their beers well. Great experience. I’ll be back!

Really like this place. We make it a point to stop here when we are in this part of the Adirondacks. Actually we went out of our way to get here last time. Beer is good and so are the food options which should offer something for everyone. They have a nice outdoor area with covered sections, sun sections, and fire pits (which I could be wrong but I believe you can start a fire if there isn't one burning). What I really like is because they use food trucks and don't technically have food on premises, dogs are welcome indoors as well. We haven't sat indoors yet but it's such a nice option in bad weather or the cooler times of the year.Also a really big fan of the QR code ordering. Allows you to relax and not make trips to the bar for refills.

If you are in Tupper Lake (or anywhere near Tupper Lake) this is a place you must go. Great beer, food trucks, and all sorts of inside and outside seating. As life long visitors to TL we’ve been coming to RR Brewing since its inception and it’s incredible to see what it’s grown in to.Also…get the Bloody Mary.

Pretty great service for how busy they were upon arrival. Scan QR code at your table to start ordering process. Skips the line and wait at the bar and drinks served right to your table within minutes. You can of course also order the old fashioned way by going up to the bar and waiting in line but be warned you will wait longer. Fabulous food trucks outside to satisfy you appetite after a few cocktails. Order outside and receive a buzzer to notify when pickup is available. Eating IS allowed inside the building also. Annual Christmas event with Santa and tree decorating was fun and family friendly. Highly recommend this place, I even bought a Sasquatch T-shirt.

We really enjoyed with the Black IPA and the Red IPA. They had a large variety of beers that you don’t see very often on the east coast. The cabin vibe is warm and welcoming and they have a lot of fun merch. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in that neck of the woods!

A group of us went out to play Wednesday night, "Game Night," at the Brewery. What fun! Friendly people, drinks, and lots of laughs playing the game. The hard-working bartender was incredible and smiled all night. She's fabulous. There's also a new food truck, and the choices and food are terrific. The pizza truck is also open for business as well, and their pizza is great. Make this place a fun night out on your calendar. Of course, we all went to the Brewery for a bite to eat after the eclipse event. Everything was great.

Fun place to stop for drinks and food. They have some cocktails but we chose to have a couple of their beers. We ordered two different IPAs the American and the New England style both excellent. There were 3 food trucks outside serving food. I got a quesadilla (delicious and fresh) and my husband got a wood fired Margherita pizza (also delicious and fresh). Family friendly. Included a gift shop selling merchandise from the brewery. Highly recommend.

Mind boggling store filled with all kinds of merchandise. Clothing, Camping, Food, Knives, too much to list. Check out the tree growing in the middle of the store! Nice people running it too. Really a great place to visit if you're in that lake area.

This is a "must visit" general store in Long Lake. They have everything from souvenirs to a killer craft beer selection. We always stop by and spend way too much money. But hey, it's fun.

Great place to stop when driving through the Adirondacks! They have everything from food and beverages. To a wide section of books, clothing and tourist souvenirs! Make sure to check the tree that is growing up through the building and out of the roof.

Unique corner in Long Lake! The country store has way more than I thought!! Camping gear, gifts, souvenirs. Stop across the street for a burger.

Had loads of fun at Hoss's. We stumbled upon the by accident as we were driving north to a family gathering. They had a huge tent of mostly garments at 50% off. There was also a general store, an eatery, and an ice cream shop as well as a small RV parking area. We all enjoyed a delicious ice cream and snagged some totally cool hoodies. Folks were super friendly, lots of free parking, great prices.

A very cute little Country Store in the Adirondacks. Not only do they carry some clothing items and books they also have a small section of groceries a camping section. The employees are very friendly and a lot of fun. I look forward to going there again.

Great iconic Adirondack store. They have great stuff for the home, Great Adirondack books, lots of souvenirs, and some fantastic local goods. Worth the stop for sure.

It's always a fun way to spend some time in a unique, enjoyable country store. Certainly a place to find a gift or two. Always worth the drive!

Super nice store. Defintly has the small town country store vibe with a little bit of everything you might need and maybe a little bit of stuff you don't. The only issue was how warm it got inside, specifically upstairs. It was super hard for my wife to breath up there with the heat the day were there. Oh! And lack of hats with a raccoon in it and Bigfoot merch.

Upstairs, downstairs, all kinds of items here. Got a few goods like tongs, ketchup, snacks, etc. But they have a huge variety of knick knacks, gear, food, etc. The freezer has some interesting meats, check out the unexpected selection.The fudge counter was amazing, I highly recommend the peanut butter fudge.Even if you don't need anything, it's a fun experience. There are 3 or 4 ice cream places within walking distance too.... So that's always worth a visit.

Love stopping in at Hoss's at least once a year to get numerous gifts for everyone I love! There is literally something for everyone! Plus the amazing food they have out back! The staff is adorable and friendly, amd the environment is just all around relaxing.

Hoss' Country Corner is a blast. It's almost like walking around in a museum where the vast majority of the items are for sale. The staff are very helpful and can answer most of your questions. Don't hesitate to wander across the street to the ice cream and burger stand! Awesome food.

We drove about 35 min to come to this store. We were nervous if it would be worth it but we were very glad we did!This place had so many gifts, specifically ADK trinkets that we were looking for! We found a huge supplies of Christmas ornaments, and shirts/sweaters!

Hoss’s continues to be our go to Adirondack country store. For years we’ve traditionally stopped here. I love visiting Hoss's with my children and grandchildren. There are so many little treasures to find. We never walk away empty-handed.

What an incredible place! I am not a museum person, but I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Museums are often packed with too much to look at, but here the exhibits were spread out, interesting, engaging, and well done. The views around the property were also very impressive.

The museum has been updated since my last visit. All the in depth exhibits plus some new features, including a gorgeous dining room with a spectacular view of Blue Mountain Lake from the veranda. Don't miss the taxidermy exhibit, which is very strange indeed. A great place for kids to learn how special the Adirondacks Park has always been.

Great experience. The museum was in excellent condition and well maintained. Guides available but not intrusive. Exhibits were varied and interesting and covered a large number of subjects and interests. This is an indoor and outdoor museum so if you go on a rainy day prepare to walk from building to building outside but the campus is not super large. Good for kids and adults of all ages. If you enjoy reading then you can make a day of it from 10-5 otherwise plan on 4-5 hours. The gift shop was interesting but costly.

Fantastic preservation of history and culture. I especially enjoyed the boating exhibits. We were there on the last day of the season, so no dining options were available unfortunately. Very helpful staff!

Great museum!! We found ourselves here after camping nearby for the night. So glad we took the time to visit. The museum is made up of several buildings and there is a lot to see. Everything was inviting- manicured grounds, clean bathrooms, reasonably priced cafeteria food, the displays are modern and very well done. They also have a great gift shop. We highly recommend visiting. Tip- tickets are cheaper if purchased online.

Stopped by this place while on the way to a cabin in the Adirondacks and was really impressed! At first I was worried because entrance fees are a bit pricey (I. E. $23 for an adult), but this museum isn't just 1 building, it's actually a while campus! We were there for about 4 hours and couldn't see everything in time. They have lots of kid friendly exhibits and everything was very clean and organized. We had a great time here and I highly recommend checking it out if you're visiting the Adirondacks!

A great place. A modern museum with a lot of interactive exhibits. A large campus with many buildings, so bring comfy shoes. The cafe has spectacular sandwiches and soups at great prices, and the best view you could want. Will definitely return.

You definitely need a whole day to do this museum. There are both sheltered buildings and outdoor things. We were there on a rainy day, but it was still good. Truly interactive! 6 and 8 year old had plenty to do to keep them engaged.

It was an enjoyable couple of hours roaming around the beautiful grounds early on a Thursday afternoon. I spent most of my time in Life in the Adirondacks. It's filled with fun interactive experiences and interesting historical exhibits. The various staff members I met were consistently helpful and friendly.

A very unique experience of the nature, life, history and art of the Adirondacks. Spent a whole day. Many new things to learn but I did not feel overwhelmed thanks to the space there. Quite a few interactive displays that I had fun with. Staff there are friendly.

I would plan on 4-5 hours when you take a trip to this wonderful attraction. So many displays covering the history and culture of the Adirondack Region. Views overlooking the lake are spectacular. The museum has a brand new permanent exhibit - Artists and Inspiration in the Wild. This includes four main galleries highlighting natural features of the area; light, forests, water, and mountains, which serve as inspiration to painters, sculptors, and expert artisians. Try out the cafe when you go, the food is great and you can eat outside, with the lake views all around.

Stayed at campsite 94- the water sites are quite the upgrade! Dropped right into the lake with kayaks. Bathrooms are close and newly renovated- very well maintained park! On the smaller side, but intimate and very relaxing. Saw a variety of birds on the water & heard eagles in the distance. Everyone was friendly and followed rules. Would definitely return!!

A New York State Park with groomed trails for cross country Skiing! No charge but donations are encouraged. The ski conditions were pretty good despite the small amount of snow. Rentals available and a heated club house. Masks required inside.

We absolutely love this State Park! We are Canadian’s that have visited this wonderful place 2 years in a row and will definitely make it a yearly tradition! The facilities are upgraded, cleaned regularly and the staff is so friendly! You won’t be disappointed camping here 😊

My family has been camping here for years and typically love it except for the bathrooms. We were camping in Loop A which only has 4 stalls for all 20 sites. This is usually fine except when they are out of soap and toilet paper for 4 days and you call the front office 3x and they say they will replenish them and do not. They were empty on Friday and it took them until Tuesday morning to refill soap and TP. That is unacceptable.

Friendly staff, nice facilities, nice trails.Came here for the solar eclipse, they waved the entrance fee and even provided solar filters.

I've been camping here every year for the past 12 years. I stay a week and enjoy the beach, trails and company of other campers.The sites are not on top of each other and have plenty of trees between each site.The beach is okay but not great because of dead plants washing in.The bathrooms are usually clean and the showers are if you catch them at the right time. There is a nice boat launching area.We have our family reunion there every year because of a nice pavilion.There are 2 children playgrounds, one by the beach area the other by the non elec. loops, d&e.You have to take your own garbage out to the dumpsters located near check in booth .There are 2 dump stations and 2 fresh water near them. And fresh water spickets throughout the campground.Negative about the grounds are that they may post a site will take a 30 or 40 foot camper but it's tight and a job getting into some.I'd ask someone that knows the campground or check them out yourself before booking to be sure you can get your camper in. If you have trouble there is usually someone close by to spot or even back it in. Don't be afraid or to proud to ask, it's better that damaging your camper or truck and ruining your trip

I've camped at Higley Flow many times over the years and I always have a great time. This most recent visit we stayed at site 98 which was close to the bathrooms (nicest I've ever used at a state park) and had a trail to the water. An ice cream truck makes its rounds in the late afternoon. The park has miles of trails to walk with some very pretty views. Firewood is readily available from the locals.

Well kept, clean, lots of short trails. Great for families. Great lean-to near the beaver pond with a fire pit, wood and paper. The lighter in the box under the lean-to is 99% dead so bring matches for a great pic nic.

Relatively clean, wooded camp sites. Many with electric, paved, a table, and a fire pit. If at all possible, I would highly recommend scouting things out ahead of time, as the online maps don't reflect distances to bath houses, water spigots, etc. very well. It's also very "hilly," which might be something to consider. Also, lots of kids and dogs, which should be expected. All in all, a pleasant stay.

We loved that the sites were spaced apart from each other. The park was well taken care of. The bathrooms were clean and not full of bugs and very well lit up at night.

Was here for skiing lesson on 02/17/19. You can rent skiing equpments here, shoes included, for only $7! Great recreational place in all seasons! Plus, I saw my first white weasel! What an experience it was!!! ... It's 2nd of January 2021 & this is one of the best places for Covid-time outdoor activities!

Love the park, but wish they warned us about the ticks! Picked up two and brought them home and got bit bad. Had to get them removed at urgent care. Spray yourself very well! Take off your clothes when you get home! Avoid the bog trail!

This past week we participated in the special event cruise, with a stop at Camp Pine Knot. We had a spectacular time! Our tour guide at the camp was knowledgeable and engaging. The cruise itself was the best! Clean and very well kept boat, crew took care of everything we needed and were very friendly. Service was to notch! The food…so good! We will be back in the area next June and plan to reserve for our entire extended family so they can enjoy it too! Thanks to a great captain as well.

Weather was perfect. The lake was beautiful. The construction delays on 28 between Raquette Lake and Blue Mountain Lake need to be taken into consideration. Especially if you are diabetic carry some snacks & some drinks nobody wants a medical emergency while waiting over an hour. .. Enjoy the scenery. Be grateful you are visiting and not a local trying to get to work. Have patience. The end result will be worth it.

We took the Pine Knot luncheon tour on August 2. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The boat was absolutely spotless. The seating was abundant and looked new.All crew members were cheerful and friendly. Very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Definitely freshly prepared and very high quality, as good as any restaurant.We are seasonal Adirondack residents and have sailed before on the Durant and look forward to doing so again. Great activity when our guests come visit.

2nd time doing the scenic boat ride. My husband and I sat to the front of the boat by the captain and could hear the naration perfectly clear. The male waiter (i forget his name) on September 21st 2024 was excellent. Very polite and friendly! The female bartender was so sweet as well. The captain even warned me when he was going to sound the horn and to cover my ears LOL. Overall, wonderful experience and would reccomend to all ages! I did see they had soft pretzels to order (I did not order any as we just had lunch at the tap room) but a lot of people were ordering them so they must have been good!

We have vacationed at Raquette Lake for over 40 years but never sailed on the Durant. This year, our adult children requested that we all go and we had the most incredible time! The food was fantastic, the servers were so personable and even though it was a full cruise, it was not crowded at all. We loved the narration of the history of the lake. The trip was splendid and we will be back again, next year for sure!

We took the scenic tour. Family owned and operated river boat offers a point by point narration of points of interest along the lake. Just enough historical narration mixed with relaxing views to make this trip up from the Fulton Chains definitely worth it. Drinks and snacks are available for purpose and an attentive staff rounds to make sure you have what you need.

Family & I had a wonderful time! We took the scenic tour & they still had food & drinks alcohol also! A memory we will cherish!

I've been on a number of cruises on the W.W. Durant over the years. It's always a pleasant experience. The bar is well stocked, staff friendly and personable. Dinner cruises are exquisite. The chef prepares some very tasty, classy meals. I like hearing the history of the area during the cruise. I've heard it many times, but it never gets old. Raquette Lake is beautiful and has a rich history. Definitely a cruise I'll take again and again.

We went on the Intimate Dining Cruise. The food was very well prepared with generous portions. I had the Baseball Steak and my husband had the Fresh yellowfin ahi tuna Chef Specials. We were both quite pleased with our meals. (We also got the cheese platter. It was more food than we needed. So the crew supplied a to-go container for our leftovers. Good selection of cheese, nuts bread & crackers; I recommend it for groups of 4 or more.)The crew were all very helpful and friendly. Service was great. The narration of the sights was very informative.On top of it all they went above and beyond all our expectations: We were staying in Old Forge and we had car trouble. When I called the office to look for transportation suggestions Chris, who was manning the phones gave us TONS of help and we got a wonderful ride to and from the cruise.It is a wonderful family business.

Never got to visit here as a kid, and as an adult thought it was just a water park so I didn't really bother going.....until last summer when we decided to try it out for a YouTube video, and oh my gosh I loved it so much! They have the most delightfully cheesy fairy tale area and animatronics that STILL WORK. I was in nostalgia heaven. Not to mention the park was really clean and the employees were super nice. I say this as an adult with zero children, it is so fun. It's just a laid back campy good time. And the fries were great. Cannot wait to go back this summer.

We have been visited Enchanted Forest/Water Safari every summer for almost 25 years and have never had a bad visit!The weather hasn't always cooperated, but that goes with Summer in the Adirondacks. The staff and the Family-friendly policies are top notch! My highest recommendation for summertime fun!

We had a blast when we visited. They are so many things for little kiddos to do. Many places have small and mediocre kiddy lands but NOT water safari! There are so many things to do here that don't involve getting wet, for the whole family. Thier petting barn was adorable.

The Enchanted Forest Water Safari is always a good time. But now for the passed 2 years not all of the rides were open. I sure it was do to staffing issues but seems like they could alternate some of the rides, mornings these rides are open and in the afternoon these rides are open. The places is clean they could use someone to walk around in the morning before the guest get there with a leaf blower to blow the walk ways off so there are not little stones and berry's on them. Food is pricey so remember to bring your own with you.

I've been coming here since I was 4 years old, I'm now 17 years old and this has been my favorite place for a "day off" during the summer. We return every summer at least once and usually stay at an inn and come back for a day and the next. Everything is great, staff are amazing , foods great so are the rides. Coming back again and again :)

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Literally, nothing has changed, and not in a bad way either. It really keeps the classical old school charm. They’ve added a couple new water slides which is nice.

We came last year and loved it so much we decided to return this year. This place is truly amazing. The park is so easy to navigate and there is so much to do for kids and adults included. The staff is wonderful and work so hard to keep it nice and clean. Can't wait to come next year!!

Oh this water park is wonderful! Plenty of activities for the family! I loved the lazy river! My kids and wife loved the slides! The food inside the park are pretty good as well! I got the garlic fries and my family got the family combo - chicken and fries - and some cherry ICEES. We were full half way through our meal! It's fair priced and the mean size is pretty good as well! The park also has plenty of parking, an arcade, changing rooms, and a fairy tale facade area. This was our first time visiting this summer and we're looking forward to next summer. Might be buying a membership too!

Always a fun stop in the summer. I did not try the food on this go-around but the annual pass is a great deal! This is a place I have visited many times since I was a kid. I highly recommend the park as well as the local towns surrounding it. My family and I had a great time and will return in summers to come!

Water Safari Waterpark is a classic gem for families! My five and seven-year-olds had an absolute blast there. They were thrilled with the kid-friendly slides and splash areas, along with kid-friendly dry rides. The park's cleanliness and the friendly staff made our visit even more enjoyable. And let's not forget the food—it was delicious! A perfect day out for the whole family. I highly recommend it!

Always a nice spot to stop and visit during the spring and fall. Haven't been there during thr winter so I can't really speak much for the skiing. The view in top is breathtakingly beautiful.

We recently had the pleasure of riding the chair lift to the top of McCauley Mountain to take in the breathtaking views. Our little one rode for free, while the two adults paid a very reasonable fee for the adventure. The staff here were very friendly and the views were marvelous. Well worth a visit when you are in Old Forge!

A great visit for the non-hiker in your family- take a chairlift!

Great spot for younge and eld alike! One of my first outdoor spots, and many... MANY years later, still holds all the wonders for the outdoor, child in all of us!

Season pass is a bargain, I highly recommend this place to everyone, from beginners to pros, adults and kids, you will not regret it. 👍👍

Amazing experience. Tour guide had so much knowledge and led us on a very informed tour. Beautiful architecture, art, and history. Highly recommended to those who enjoy learning about the history of the castle as well as the Lawrence river.

Singer Castle, in my opinion, is a must see. The story behind it is inspiring in more ways than one. You can almost feel the presence of party goers from long ago, moving throughout the grounds. The architecture is amazing, the views are unmatched, and the sense of peace while I was there was incredible.The tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly, with some of their stories bringing me a step closer to the people who had lived there. The sense of the property being lived on and enjoyed was palpable for me.There are a lot of sights to see up in this region and more than one castle tour (did those as well). If I had to choose only one tour, Singer Castle would be it. I may even go back and book an overnight stay at Singer as well.

One has to take a boat to reach Dark Island and the castle, which we boarded in Alex Bay. Our tickets cost a little over $40 for the boat and castle tour. It was interesting and the setting is lovely. Unfortunately, we toured after the staff had decorated for Halloween...and I felt the number of them distracted from the interior. Parts of the grounds and castle look a bit worn and would benefit from maintenance, but it's still an attraction worth visiting.

This was our second trip to Singer! There is no doubt this is a beautiful castle! Our family prefers this to Boldt given the history and the fact it was actually lived in. The guided tour approach that Singer takes is also nice and very informative. We did notice that our tour this time around seemed rushed and skipped over some of the most interesting parts of the castle (for example there is a hidden passage in the library which was not even mentioned this time around and our kids were sad about that). It could have been that it was on a holiday (and we realized at the end, the last tour of the day), but was a little disappointing for us...if this was only 1st and only time visiting we probably would have thought nothing of it, but because we have that previous tour it just didn't live up to that. Absolutely still a beautiful, wonderful place to visit...just make sure you aren't going on the final tour on a holiday! :)

Singer castle was better than expected! The tour guide was awesome and did a good job explaining everything. Took the seadoo from the Ontario side and the dock hands were great.

When compared to Boldt Castle, the experience is different.The boat ride will be longer than Boldt as the castle is further out.All tours are guided, and covers the majority of the castle. However, unlike at Boldt Castle, you do have the choice to stay the night at Singer.Our tour guide Bella was full of knowledgeable information and it’s not everyday where you can see how certain items worked (most guided tours I’ve been on will take you through buildings, but not show you how technology of the period worked or shows us where secret passages are). I’m more experienced with touring warships and aviation exhibits but this still was worth the trip. The boat will also drop you off at Boldt Castle which is a plus.As I stated earlier, the boat ride is longer but our captain kept us occupied with the history of the land.Would recommend to anyone who likes historic homes on the Great Lakes.

My daughter's wedding was held at Singer Castle! The Castle was absolutely stunning, it was the perfect venue! Everyone there was wonderful and made sure it was the perfect day! Giggly recommend!

Our group of 5 adults and 2 teens visited Singer Castle on a rainy day yesterday. Our tour guide, Marion, was welcoming and cheerful despite the inclement weather. She provided a wealth of information on the castle and the ownership history and answered all of our questions about the rooms and their original contents. While we weren’t able to walk the grounds due to the weather the many windows in the castle provide ample views of all important sites on Dark Island. Highly recommend as a Must Do when visiting the 1000 Islands.

Located on Dark Island, Singer castle is a interesting place to visit with alot of history and original furnishings and artifacts. Tour guid will take you through an hour visit.

We really enjoyed the Singer Castle tour! The guided tour provided history and insight into the property, it's design, construction, and caretakers throughout the years. There's tons of actual decor and furnishings from the castle's history still present. While Boldt Castle gets the majority of the attention in the 1000 Islands, it was never finished and what you see today is largely an interpretation of what it might have been like if it was completed. Singer Castle shows what was actually there.

One of only three castles within the Thousand Island regions from what I understand. Supposed to be haunted and with many Secret Passage ways which you can learn about on a guided tour. I used Uncle Sam boat tours out of Alexandria Bay and the tour consisted of a one hour boat ride to the castle and then a 1 hour guided tour of the castle and then a 1 hour ride back to Port. Very informative tour in the place was well maintained and very historic looking.

LOVE this castle! The boat ride was so fun and the people on board were really nice! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and sweet! We will be back for our anniversary next year to stay overnight!

The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. My husband and I did this tour as a part of the Singer Castle tour through Uncle Sam's Boat Cruises. The tour of Singer Castle lasts about an hour and is guided. We learned so many new things and they always made sure everyone in the group was in the room before they started speaking, which I appreciated. The castle is well kept and beautiful with so many cool features, especially the secret passages and spots for servants to watch over the castle guests as they ate their meals to be able to know when to serve them the next course. It was fun to learn about the different owners and how they changed parts of the castle to fit their needs, as well as what inspired them.This was such a great tour and experience!

We are here on Sept 10th and stayed an extra day on our vacation for just this visit. The website says open daily September 12th, 2024. The phone number that is listed to call for "more information" only goes to voicemail, so no extra information. After we boated here about 15 miles, we found a sign saying closed after labor day.Google also says the castle is open today until 4. So here we sit with 2 other boaters as well, disappointed. Its always depressing when a business doesn't follow up on its hours and listings online. At least Boldt Castle answers the phone and keeps it's hours updated properly.

We experienced this with the "city experience cruises" from Gananoque, ON Canada. Cruise was amazing and very punctual with timings, makesure you will be there before time so you can onboard early to secure a better viewing place.Cruise serves food and beverages. Usually, it takes 1.30 hours to take you to Boldt Castle, then you off board and have 2 hours to explore the heart island and castle and 1.30 hours back to the land.For the people who need I-94 before boarding, you will get a little piece of paper with information. Make sure you fill that up online to expedite the process. At the entrance of the castle, there will be border authorities will check your documents, and don't get frustrated if the entry process takes longer than usual for you. You can make it even little over an hour if you do a little rush.

Amazing Castle! Amazing history! Amazing grounds! LOVED my visit to Boldt Castle, would highly recommend! We spent about 2 hours walking room to room (bring headphones to listen to audio tour). We didn't have headphones for the audio tour but we still had a great time reading all of the history and watching the video on the 2nd floor. We loved walking through the grounds, admiring all of the special touches (hearts and hart details). Will visit again!

Absolutely perfect! Beautiful grounds,. Lots of history.Only one drawback was the length of time there before we had to get back to the boat... 1.5 hrs wasn't enough.. The 5 hr boat ride only gave us 1.5 hrs to explore the castle and let me be the one to say we could have easily spent the full day here taking in all the history and stories from the staff on the property.Every member was so informative and enthusiastic about the property and historical significance it made it more magical than just an old castle..Highly recommended this for a trip / visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Boldt Castle on Saturday. The Bridge Authority has done a wonderful job in restoring this great piece of history. The property inside and outside is so well taken care of by the staff. We were blessed by the experience to see not only what has been restored, but also to be able to see what is still in process. We have toured many places over the years and have never seen the behind the scene look at what goes on to restore a building of this magnitude. It was truly a gift to be included in the experience of the love George had for his wife in building this structure for her.

We love this place. DL the app and get the self guided tour for free. Remarkable history and fabulous castle rivaling some in Europe.It's $9 to visit Hart Island and only an 8 minute ferry from Alexandria Bay. I recommend taking the Thousand Island boat tour, which will drop you off at the castle. Free trips back to the mainland run every 30 minutes.It's the type of place that you can visit more than once.

The renovations have come a long way since the last time we toured the castle. The Bridge Authority have done a fantastic job with the restoration process. It is well worth a visit.

We arrived via a private vessel around 10:00 am and had plenty of dock parking. The tickets open promptly at 10:30, however you can wander around the dock and use the bathroom to kill some time.I recommend doing both the castle and boat house. The boat house has a free shuttle that goes back and forth on the 15/45 of the hour.The castle itself is pretty neat and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The first 2 levels of the castle have been fully restored. The 3-5 levels are a little more rough but it’s still cool to walk through and check out the old graffiti. Along the way it’s very museum like with signs and plaques to explain things.There’s a gift shop however we didn’t go in.You can also walk into the power shop and the “play house.”It was an overall cool experience but pretty boring for young kids. My 5 year olds favorite part was walking over the 10 foot bridge.Anyway, certainly worth it to see.

It is an amazing place to visit. We arrived from US Boat Tours and spent two hours, then returned the next day for another two hours via the shuttle boat. ensure that you visit as many floors as possible. If you have a challenge walking, they have golf carts to take you to the castle and paved paths for wheel chairs. In addition, there is an elevator for three of the floors.

We got our tickets the night before and the experience went smoothly.At the arrival of the island, it was pretty straightforward with the US custom check and and employee to check the castle ticket.I recommend taking your time to visit the island but not too much because if you were at the end of the custom check line you won’t have that much time to enjoy the whole island. Within the 2 hours you can look at everything with a calm pace.It’s a nice experience. Maybe not the nicest Manor (I don’t think this is a castle) but it is nice enough to enjoy the building, history and landscaping around it. Worth experience with the boat tour included.Petty clean place.For the one with the boat tour, Be sure to not arrive just on time or late because the departures are punctual and you can miss the boat.Nice map inside the building. Should pick up one so you don’t miss the small buildings outside.

Great fairy tale castle on a small island. The grounds are spectacular, and everything is beautiful and well maintained. I came via a boat ride w/group on Uncle Sams 2 Nation Tour, and it was really nice. I liked learning the history of the place via video and display on one of the floors. There is such a romantic love story behind this castle. It was built with an unlimited budget and it shows. Pay attention to all the little details- like the heart shapes everywhere. Also seeing the top in an unfinished state (even though there is still some graffiti) is part of the story. Be sure to check out the gift shop (esp thousand island dressing and a few Canadian products) and cafe out by the dock as well. I heard the ice cream was great.

This is a well worth place to visit - great reminder of how great ideas without follow up and hard work, dream will not be realized. I would have loved to see Mr. Boldt finished the castle with his ideas and his taste. Those who visit must know that this is a reenactment. I imagine it would be ten times more magnificent if it had been all his own visions. The vicinity of the Heart Island is extremely scenic and we took many great pictures.

This was a great trip to see the Boldt Castle and yacht house. The work they are doing to bring back the former glory is amazing.you won't be disappointed . From the Alexandra bay side, we took Uncle Sam's ferry quick and painless. Take as much time as you want, but go over to the yacht house. 3 dollars extra . The work done at the turn of the century was unbelievable. It is a sad story, but the public has been able to go along for the journey. A must see if you don't mind the boat trip . Bring a passport if you're from Canada

I understand the popularity of Boldt Castle. The historical significance is evident, as well as the incredible architectural details. There is the original small house they lived in plus the much larger castle. With a built in pool, indoor bowling alley, and power generating house with an arch bridge, there is a lot to take in. With that being said, it felt empty to me. Not just in the sense of the on going construction, but physically, emotionally, empty. The story behind the home, in my opinion, is sad, more of a cautionary tale than an awe inspiring experience. Is it worth the trip, yes.

Reasonably priced and a great time! Get the app on your phone and bring headphones to listen to the tour to get the most of your visit. There is no AC so bring a portable fan on hot days! The castle and grounds are beautiful and all the money they make goes back into restoring more rooms and the upkeep. Every time I go it gets better! We love to tour the castle then get ice cream and walk the grounds with our ice cream! It can get busy, but if you do the phone tour you can go out of order. So I prefer to avoid the crowd and start in an empty area and move to whatever areas aren't too busy, making my way around.

Stunning island with an amazing history. Take a headset for your phone and use the mobile download walking your. Really good! The property has an emotional story of love and money. It’s in almost new condition which is great as you get a real feel for the luxury of the time. Don’t miss the boat house.

It's been several years since I last visited Boldt Castle, and, as my entry into their guest book states, "You've done a lot of work to the place dine Ib was last here. "This is a magical place to visit. The peacefulness being among the 1000 islands, the tranquility of the beautifully sculpted gardens, the majesty of the main building (castle), and the outbuildings all add to a sense of both joy and awe. Outside of Europe, there truly is nothing else like it so close to home. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

Awesome tour of a piece of history. This place is amazing, and the work being done by the organization is great. The buildings, the architecture, and the grounds are beautiful. The story it tells is amazing and interesting . Definitely enjoyed the whole experience.

We spent 3 hours touring Boldt Castle & the grounds on Heart Island. We took our time, sat on the benches to enjoy the breeze, and took some breaks. We would suggest going on the first shuttle over as soon as it opens. It gets very congested later in the day. With more people, it gets difficult to get pictures. We paid $46 for 2 of us. That included the boat ride and entrance fee. We had a lovely, relaxing visit. High recommend visiting Boldt Castle.

Very beautiful and extremely well maintained property. We had a fantastic time exploring the castle and grounds. Be sure to grab a map because there is a lot to see and limited time depending on your cruise runner. Once you get to the US customs counter, the agents took just a few seconds to process us. We followed the map and explored the castle first and then the grounds. The castle is still in the process of being restored. 3 floors were fully restored beautifully. The library, ball room, and the veranda were are favorites and offered great opportunities for quick photos against beautiful backdrops.On the second floor, there is a theatre room that plays a 15 min documentary about the castle. Must see to know more about the history of the castle. The story is very interesting. There is also an touristy gift shop for souvenirs. The third and fourth floors are still being restored but you're still allowed to walk through.We made our way to the grounds and really enjoyed walking around the property. It was relaxing and calming. After you exit near where the US custom booths are, there is a reasonably priced ice cream shopThe cappuccino crunch ice cream was delicious.Totally worth it!

Not bad for our first time here.The slot machines are a little confusing to understand, where you may just he pushing buttons and hoping to win something.With few tables to play and few seats available, if you want in on blackjack , it was the busiest one, with no chance to get in, so you're stuck on the machines.As with any Casino, make sure you bring a limit and have better luck than us!!!

Visited the casino on Saturday! , They have the nicest woman I’ve ever met on the floor. She asked if I wanted a drink so I just got a coffee , and when I said I had no change she said the coffee is free! Never even expected a tip! Then she preceded to talk to me about anything and everything. I’d go back just to have her smiling face serve me a simple coffee again! I give 4 stars because there’s no entertainment and the place is dingy but man that women deserves a 20 star rating!

1 star is too much. Manager Mike and doorman Mark were very rude when my wife and I were visiting and they asked to see her identification. She was very flattered by the request but when she showed 3 different pieces or identification all of which were her and she is 33 years old. I drove 2 hours to visit. Clearly they were not having a good night and didn't want our money!!! I'll never be back. Mike the manager is a real piece of trash as far as I'm concerned. You ruined our entire night. Loser probably needs to get laid !! Never gonna come back !!

The casino was like any other. The 3 stars is for the restaurant, I have never in my life had raw fish and chips before. My fish was warm and soggy, my partner Rib dish was wow, the ribs was white and raw underneath. We were so hungry, but did not eat it nor did we sent it back. Don't want any horror stories going down my tummy. Not to mention over priced, take a few minutes and drive down to the little town. TONS of restaurant with food that worth the money. The waitress was awesome, not to mention the deep fried pickles, yes that was tasty!

What a shame, used to really like this place, 10 years ago they paid a little and actually had food and service and place was busy. Last few years it's turned into a dump and payout is worst in Ontario, I came once in a while but it's worse, will never come back under any circumstance. Wish I could give negative rating. I don't expect a response from the " owner" because our government funded asset was basically given to a hedge fund and all the politicians own stock. As for the fake AI response, I would rather be waterboarded.

The outside is vintage 1950s/Art Deco signage which is super lovely. Security and Id check was fine. Had an issue with trying to get a card as they needed extra verification from HQ security. Also be forewarned that you need to fill out a PAPER form! Like why? That should have been my first indication. The cashier was the most helpful. The high limit room was small. There are a lot of older machines and only 4 Dragon Link games (the one I finally was able to play had been not working for a while even with the service light on).It was an okay experience but I won't be back. The machines didn't pay; the sounds weren't working (and some were working too well) and the RTP was dismal. I was there for 90 minutes and the most I saw anyone win was 90$.

Hi I was in the restaurant at 6pm to have my supper. I ordered hot roast beef sandwich with fries, after taking a bit thought it taste funny so tried another bite thinking maybe just me. I mentioned to the waitress behind the bar who was serving me that the meat tasted freezer burnt or something told her it taste funny. Her reply was well they cook it here and shave it here with a dismissal tone. So I ate the fries but left the sandwich there. Thank God I only took a couple bites because I ended up being sick all night with food poisoning. I will never eat there again

Casino was fun. Disappointed with the restaurant part, we went in hopes of having dinner after a few games knowing what time the restaurant part was available till. Sign said they didn't close till 22:00 on Saturday night, went at 21:10 to get food and the waitress said no we closed at 21:00 but still had the sign up saying the close at 22:00.. not a very nice lady at all.. will not go back to that location

Love this place. We stop here with our motor home every fall going to California, and every spring going back to Ottawa. Good food, lots of fun slots. Bonus here is we can stay overnight with the RV overnight and get a nice quiet sleep before we continue our journey. A big THANK YOU!

Just back from an extended road trip, or I would have placed this review earlier.Stayed in Gananoque for a couple of nights to take the boat tour. Made a trip to the casino for some fun and decided to grab a bite while we were there.Restaurant wasn't busy at all, but we waited for almost 10 minutes to be seated. The server was obviously in a bad mood, because she threw the menus on the table and walked away while we were still getting ready to sit down. Another 10 minute wait while the two servers talked with someone in the kitchen, then finally showed up and took a drink order of a couple of diet sodas and a glass of ice water. I was getting ready to order an appetizer, but she walked away while I was speaking.Five minutes later the drinks show up. She snarled,"What do you want to order?" Right about then we should have left, but didn't know where else in town to go and were tired from the long day.About 15 minutes later the food showed up. Cold fries and a warm burger, and a lukewarm fettuccine alfredo.Every time my wife orders that dish, she gets a piece of garlic toast with it. Not here! It's a two dollar upcharge. Really?! Two bucks from a casino making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sick!We ate what we could, left the rest. The server did not come back to the table until she threw the bill down. She shrugged off the warm food complaint and just said, cash or charge. She was upset that we said to put it on Visa and sharply told us there would be a 2% upcharge.She did not look very happy when we left a 1$ tip for the crappy food, the crappy service and the bad attitude.If you're not happy in your job, then quit. Don't make everyone else's day as miserable as you are.We'll never eat there again!

We stop and stay in the parking lot with our RV. Had the souvlaki dinner special $9.99 with bread pudding for dessert. Great value. Outstanding service.Clean restrooms.

Used to have the best chicken wings in Ontario, now they are small over cooked and no longer breaded, sad, we used to come here for the wings then to gamble, not anymore.

Lots of machines to entice you. Doesn't take long to play. Go with a limit and stay within it. Payout is not big. One gentleman was saying he played for a while and was not lucky. Lots of people. It's fun to watch people. Not many winning.

I feared my husband would never leave! He had so much fun going from building to building, boat to boat!Truly, there were some amazingly beautiful boats at this museum, and they are expertly cared for.Don’t miss seeing Pardon Me and Miss Behave, my two favorites.The staff is friendly and enthusiastic about the watercraft at the museum, and they love talking about boats. Well worth a drive out-of-the-way

A beautiful museum of wooden boats, canoes and skiffs. There are several buildings that house the boats including a work shop. Staff are very friendly. The La Duchesse houseboat once owned by George Boldt is moored there.

A comprehensive museum with a great variety of beautiful boats. Easy to spend a whole day there if you’re interested. Indoors, so a good activity at any time.

Even if you have a small interest in boats this is a must stop. So much history from boats to motors and the 1000 islands area in general. Not to mention a whole building for race boats. Awesome place.

Great place to see some really nice vintage boats and learn a little bit about the history of the area.I didn't realize how much Dodge and Chrysler were involved in the marine industry from the 1920's to the 1970's.

Have you ever ridden on a wooden antique boat?? Well you should!! Took a ride on the Zipper and whole family had a great time. Great museum, lots of family fun!We visited on family free day in June, so it was crowded but worth it. Lots to see and spend an afternoon . Expect at least 1-2 hour to look around.

Unbelievably amazing and we went on Family Day and there was no admission fee. But, I would definitely go back and pay just to support this museum. We enjoyed seeing all the young families and their excitement. The Need For Speed museum across the street was awesome as well.

Many years ago, but this place was a highlight of our visit to the beautiful village of Clayton, NY. We had the opportunity to take out a stunning "Saint Lawrence Skiff" onto the river. What a beautiful day in a beautiful place. Highly recommending a visit to this museum on your visit to the village.

A fantastic place! Clean, well kept and easy to access. The antique boats are restored to working condition. Most boats are from the local area covering the Gilded Age of the 1870's to the early 1900's, but there are some that go into the 1940's and a little beyond. They are all beautiful. You must also take the 45 minute ride on a replica 30′ triple cockpit Hacker Craft (Ride the River Tour). Fast, sleek and beautiful she will take you around the local islands and give you a thrill you will not forget. If you don't mind a little spray, ride in the rear compartment. Pure heaven!

Super cool to see how they are built and the history about them.

Impressive collection and displays to peruse. The houseboat was neat to tour. The buildings and exhibits are obviously well maintained. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

The Antique Boat Museum is a great place to spend part of a day. We went on a rainy day and toted our umbrellas between the buildings on the campus. We also took the guided tour of La Duchesse houseboat. It was definitely worth the extra fee to see the houseboat. There is variety of beautifully restored antique boats on display inside and outside, and an entire building dedicated to racing boats.

If you like classic wooden yachts and want to learn the history and development of outboard motors, then this is a must-see location. They have five or six buildings with canoes to record holding speed boats for their day. If you're in the St Lawrence River area near Clayton, NY, it's a great stop on a rainy day or any day. There is an entrance fee.

A fun afternoon exploring the 5 different buildings and touring a giant house bout of days gone buy.

We heard a lot about this location. We visited yesterday (Sunday). The large barge boat (closed to public). The shop (closed). Very few boats in water under the garage. The movie shows boat rides etc. (none of which were available). $15 wasn’t worth it for what we seen and able to go on. Maybe it is because it was Sunday?If exhibits and parts of normal museum is going to be closed, then discount the fee.

Great museum. Awesome wooden boats; well preserved. Definitely worth taking the guided tour of La Duchesse houseboat. Our guide, Cathy, was very friendly and knowledgeable.

If you like old boats, this is THE place! River ride excellent even knowing area and owning a boat.

This is such a nice area of NY State. I spent a few days in the area and took part in a ghost hunt - super fun! At night, the rides sure seemed spooky. There are a few cool restaurants too, I'll be back again, for sure.

It was fun for my little Granddaughter, even though they we're very under staffed workers hustled to keep the customers happy,

Nice place to visit. Took our 2 girls and got them the unlimited ride bands. Unfortunately they were not able to use them o. The water boat bumper cars. You need to purchase an additional 3 ticket each at $1.75 per ticket. I feel this is ridiculous after I just $70 for them to have unlimited rides. Besides that, they had a great time and liked the games as well. All the rides and games are very old and need renovations. We had lunch at a little shop within the park and it was not worth it at all. I wish I would have known earlier about the additional restaurants across the street. One of my girls got a slice of cheese pizza and it looked like it had been reheated several times. She couldn't even eat it. Overall the girls had fun and it was a nice day. Probably will not visit again.

It’s a window into a delightful old style amusement park. Get the unlimited ride wristbands and enjoy the day with rides and fun. Close to the beach to enjoy between rides.

Great time for the kids. Rides a little expensive but the food was very good and the arcade was a favorite.

I had gone to the park with my children for fun, after I waited for around 30 minutes to get on a ride I had asked for an employees name as she wouldn’t start the ride because she was busy texting, Her name is Danielle or something like that, I simply sat here just wanting to get on a ride. Another thing is I noted that you can overhear the talking badly about some of the other employees, they have not been punished for their wrong doing, or bad mouthing others. Another note is that they didn’t care for the people of their happiness. I don’t recommend going here, a lot of the employees don’t seem to care for anyone’s happiness, or safety. Maybe it just the once but I feel safe there, or happy.

so fun and cheap for an amusement park. rides are very fun! the beach is nice and there is a restaurant there that I definitely recommend. I did a ghost tour one night there which was really fun too. nothing haunted happened but after doing the tour I watched the show ghost hunters and they did an investigation there which was cool. the time we happened to be at sylvan beach there was a fireworks show and they were the most impressive fireworks I’ve ever seen

I think we spent all summer here this year. Definitely going to look in to getting season passes for next year. If you're not swimming, then relax on the beach, or go fishing, or ride rides, or play games, or go to the playground or eat..there's always enough to do in this tiny park. And then right outside of it as well either shops, bars, candy stores, wine slushies, ice cream stands and gift shops. It's free to enter, but $10 to park, if you park inside the amusement park/Beach.

What an amazing gem this town has. All staff friendly and engaging. Lots of arcade style games and in my opinion cheap prices for rides and games. Young kids will love it.

A neat old timey park which is like stepping into a time capsule. A lot of the games need work, but the prices are low so you can't expect perfection.

Great beach and grassy area to picnic and meet new ppl. Also great place if your a vendor to sell your stuff on their vendor weekends. Come see me and done of my vendor friends

Love going here with my kids or my friends to play the arcade games. It's a shame half the games don't work and the other half only work as far as playing goes but won't give you the tickets you're owed. We started to feel really bad about having to ask the poor overwhelmed employee to come look at the machines and give us the proper amount of tickets. It's still a fun time to go play some ski ball but, I would not say any ride there is worth the $5.25-$7 each ride costs. The nostalgia is still very alive but the infrastructure is failing faster by the day. It's too bad the economy has made it impossible to bring it back to it's glory. Glad it's still open though, the day it closes permanently would be a very sad day I hope never comes.

Tap into your inner child and let your nostalgia peak at this old fashioned amusement park with neighboring new attractions like the Lake House restaurant and slot casino. When was the last time you saw bumper boats?! This spot has all the oldies. Highly recommend checking out Canal Fest!

I visited for the nostalgia. I was looking forward to playing the old time games like skee ball on the same machines I had played on as a child at Playland. While the very same machines are there, it seemed that they had not been serviced in decades. Many were completely out of order, while others only partly worked. Without the lights working it made it nearly impossible to track your score when rolling the balls and without the lights and sounds it just didn't seem as fun. I visit every couple of years, but this time it was so disappointing and sad, I probably will not be back. As you can tell by the pictures, the place was totally dead. We were the only people at each attraction we stopped at in the amusement park late afternoon on a Friday in August

On a road trip from Ohio visiting amusement parks in PA and NY and made a stop here for a few hours. This place feels just like a nostalgic seaside amusement park from the 50s.We were totally blown away by Galaxy, their roller coaster. It was so much fun that we rode it several times. The staff was friendly, but a bit short handed. They were able to cover all the rides though.They have so many spinny flat rides and some serious classics. They have one of only 6 surviving Roll-O-Plane rides left in existence! They also have a pretty rare Pretzel fun house. The Scrambler is in great shape and is currently the oldest one I was ridden!

Just a nice place to do a lot of different things. The Casino, walks, fishing, boating, the beach.. food. Dog walking was popular.The car show was well behaved, the breeze was perfect..

A quiet and peaceful place with an amazing view. While most of the lighthouse grounds are open to the public, the light itself is off limits, as it is still in active use, though you can peak inside.There is a small visitor center where you can pick up free maps of lighthouses in the area and the fog house is open to the public for viewing.There is a small observation deck where you can look out to the St. Lawrence River and have a clear view of the Canadian side of the river.

Very pretty lighthouse! Easy parking, easy entry. There is a small building next to the lighthouse which houses the fog horn along with some literature to view which teaches you about the structure and its inner workings.

It's been many years since our visits here, but they were wonderful days. The strong breeze off the lake, picnics on the grass. A lovely light for sure.

Neat little lighthouse at the end of a short one way lake front road. It looks like there was a possible trip to the top, but no one was around. The park is now run by the local town.

Tibbets Lighthouse is a hidden treasure in Cape Vincent . Just a short 3 miles up the coast through the Village of Quaint Cape Vincent. Breathtaking views of Lake Ontario and St. Laurence River and Canada. Not too many places in the world that you can say I can see Canada in my backyard. Don't miss it and it is Free to the public . Donations can be made if you would like to contribute to this well maintained Lighthouse, that is mainly run by Volunteers, residents etc. From Cape Vincent

We went close to dusk, so we didn't expect to be allowed entry. Still a lovely spot to view, lighthouse and grounds look very well-kept.

Beautiful light House and view. Must see during sunset. I was lucky enough to arrive when the visitor center was open before 4pm.

Worth stopping if you're in the area or taking the ferry over to Wolfe Island. Great scenery on the drive to the lighthouse, and the lighthouse is a great spot for pictures.

We arrived after the visitor center closed, but it was still nice to be able to walk around the pretty lighthouse. It's a working lighthouse, so comes as no surprise that everything is well maintained, but also means you can't go up into it. There's a telescope (needs quarters) at the waterfront so you can spy out the places they have indicated on the deck rail. Canada & a large wind farm are across the river. You can see beautiful sunsets here!

At the beginning of the St. Lawrence River, the lighthouse, fog horn outbuilding, and the two caretaker houses have stood the test of time and weather! A picturesque location with a vast view of Lake Ontario.

This park is very small but the view is amazing! It has a small parking lot accommodating about 10 cars. It was very windy when I was there, but not sure if it is always like that. I loved the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks. There are a few benches where you can sit facing the water and enjoy the view. The water is pretty clean. I enjoyed driving to the lighthouse after entering the neighborhood. The road to the lighthouse separates the homes facing the water and the water. It is worth the drive. I had my dogs with me and I didn't go into any of the buildings. There was a wedding there when I visited.

Great little place to visit. We were able to enter the main floor of the lighthouse but the access to climb the stairs was locked. There is a little shop in the parking lot next to the lighthouse to visit. Offers brochures and various information about the area.

Visited today for the first time since they opened a few years ago. Loved how much it expanded and how healthy the animals look. It was great being able to see the animals as well. My reasoning for 4 stars was the staffs riding around on the gators. They drive extremely fast for a place full of kids walking around. The staff also weren’t the politest when asking our 2 year old to move for them to continue flying around the park. The drive through safari was great and we all loved that experience.

Great place to visit - alone or with family. Animals very well taken care of, staff friendly and helpful. So many beautiful cats - the sloth is adorable. Everywhere I looked people were smiling, really enjoyable place and you can tell the workers love what they're doing and where they are working.

Did the Beast tour (few more dollars than drive through and everyone can enjoy without concentrating on driving or possible damage to vehicle). Very enjoyable. Perfect height for highly entertaining camels. We timed it right because all the babies were weeks old. The zoo itself was well planned and most exhibits allowed viewers very close to animals. Animals were very interactive on our visit.

Awesome drive through animal park. Tons of animals and you get to feed them with cups of feed you buy at the entrance. Staff was great and all of the animals were super friendly. Highly recommend, just be prepared for the animals to rub on your vehicle, whether you have food or not. If you don't want to take your own vehicle you can ride The Beast and hand out food to the animals while a guide gives you a tour.

This was the first time going here. I have been wanting to go since the day it opened.I was lucky enough to be at my daughters and new granddaughters house when they planned on going with their aunt cousin and other grand mother. glad my daughter let me go.It was one of the best zoos i have ever been to. The house where you go in and hold a stick with food on it was an amazing experience. if you love birds trust me you will love it. something you have never experienced.This place you get to see the animals up close and personal.so happy to have experienced visiting here.I wish i brought a better camera.Tons of animals. tons of fun. I highly recommend this place.

Just got home from the 1-2 person Sloth experience. Has to be in the top 5 most awesome experiences of my life....and I have 3 kids!!!! Very educational, incredible staff, very hands on, absolutely adorable & curious creatures. The baby is 10 months old. Will definitely be back with a larger group.

Flashlight Safari is a fun adventure for the entire family. The. Wild Animal Park went all out in decorating the park. The animals actually seemed more active in the coolness of the evening. Most of the kids wore their Halloween costumes and seemed to be having a great time. There was an abundance of parking, and all the employees we met were friendly and interacted with the kids. The little ones especially enjoyed feeding the goats, sheep, and giraffes.

Recently visited - we had a good time in general. I find it a bit ridiculous when establishments like this do not allow outside food/drink so that you are forced to purchase their overpriced food. The entrance/exit in the main building is a disaster. People leaving/entering and checking out from the gift shop all in the same place. The entire main building smelled like public restrooms - the restrooms were also gag-worthy. They have updated a lot of the exhibits and they appear to have a lot more goats. The most disappointing aspect of the trip was the condition of some of these goats - some heavily pregnant. They are badly in need of a farrier; so many of their hooves are overgrown and look painful. We also noticed a larger breed of goat near the seating/food area who seemed to have some real trouble crossing the bridge over the water. Sad!

this was an AWESOME experience. the animals are clearly well cared for, and all looked incredibly healthy and happy. they have several animals that I have never seen before, and I've been to many zoos/animal parks. feeding the animals was the highlight. the drive thru safari directions should be clearer. we asked the gift shop cashier where to go for the safari and she had a lot of troubleunderstanding what we meant, she kept telling us to buy tickets even though we already had them and didn't know where to go. then the safari guide made us drive all around the building to go back to the entrance where we had been. otherwise an excellent experience that my whole family will always cherish

The Wild Winter Wonderland of Lights was fun for the kids. There were many light displays to check out and animals that were out. They were able to feed the birds and goats. We enjoyed the outdoor fire while we had some snacks. There were bounce houses and pictures with Santa. Those were for an additional fee.

Was an amazing day out with the kids! The animals are not shy by any means! I only recommend if you do go there drive close to one side so if you have to stop for the animals surrounding your car (camels) no one will be stuck behind you. The people in front of us were stuck for 20 minutes as they surrounded their car but gave us room to get around!

We did the zoo, but not the drive thru safari. We bought 4 cups of food when purchasing tickets to enter and 2 chips for giraffe food (carrots). We very much enjoyed feeding all the goats/kids, llama, alpaca, and giraffes. Family members did buy bird feed and entered the bird area. The birds flocked to them and perched on their arms, shoulders, hands, and head. Some birds did try to bite at freckles/moles on arms, which was not pleasant, but if birds are your thing it's fun I'm sure. Staff was nice and very knowledgeable about animals. Zoo was clean and there's a nice menu for lunch with shaded seating area. When entering, they advised us outside food or drink is prohibited but I asked about water bottles and they said it was fine. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old and both were very entertained for a few hours.

We love coming here. I'm not a big fan of the zoos but the animals look very well taken care of here. This was the 1st time we attended to see the lights, it was beautiful.

This place has come along way from the last time I was there years ago. It looks AMAZING. Very fresh and clean, so many exotic animals. Lots of money was put back into it. The displays are well done, has a theme park vibe going on. Great job to the ones responsible. The food was good and not to overpriced (thank you). My family and I will be back again soon!!!!!!

This place is amazing. Now that the weather is nicer, they have included so many new animals. They even had anteaters this time. I recommend this zoo 1,000 times over! Especially bring your children. When I went for the first time, my children got to hold a baby kangaroo and had their picture taken with it.

I have done many encounters, this place has some of the best. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The animals are well cared for.

I have been bringing my daughter here for the last 3 years and was VERY impressed by the changes in the last year. Every year something new has been added and we are never bored feeling like we’re walking through the same things. Very clean and well kept, staff was very friendly pointing out the baby goats born recently at our visit on 5/3. Feeding the giraffes was a huge hit for all of us. This is one of the only zoos I’ve ever visited with such well maintained areas for the animals living there. Highly recommend!!

This tour was amazingly well done. The tour guide was very funny and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and did a very good job making sure Dolly didn't steal all the food.10/10 would go again can't wait to see the new exhibit she couldn't tell us about yet. You got me to return good strategy.

Loved that we saw more animals here than at the zoo. My girls loved feeding the goats and giraffes. Little on the pricey side for admission but in today’s time with food prices I can understand that. Great family day!

This waterfall is one of my favorites! Sometimes you can walk down to the bottom (there was one time I was there and the trail was closed off.) Great picnic place, spread out somewhere green and enjoy your meal. I usually bring a book and find a place near the falls, where I can listen to the water, take a ton of photos and play around with video. Families love it here, I always see many children running around enjoying the views.

Always clean, and the falls are different in regards to how strong the flow is every time I’ve come. It was freezing outside so I only stopped quick this time to show my two older girls the top of the falls now vs when I brought them when they were much younger. they remembered going on the bridge and into the water beneath the falls prior so I loved that they were able to compare the differences in the water strength, flow, quantity due to seasonal weather change alone. It wasn’t crowded, always clean , some spots on stairs weee slippery of course due to the temp and the water from the falls so be cautious. Just another great spot to unwind and relax.

Great place to visit. Rode bikes there towards the end of the summer with The Envy Killz Motorcycle Club and had nothing short of a great time. The ride was awesome, and the falls were even more pleasant to see. Well worth the visit. Will definitely be back again!

This State Park is such a great place to explore this amazing waterfall!There are a lot of picnic spots, walking trails, and natural beauty!

Falls are purely magical and magnificent - they are much taller than how it appears in photos.It is very easily accessible from the parking lot, there's a cute little bridge at the bottom of the falls as well as some landings.No special hiking shoes are needed to walk down to the bottom - we saw elderly as well as kids doing it.

Definitely worth a stop as it seems to be one of the larger falls in this area (bigger ones closer to Ithaca). You can’t see the falls from the top, you need to go at least halfway down and best view is from the stairs to the left when facing the falls in the parking lot/don’t go over the road bridge). You can go all the way to the creek where there’s a footbridge and come up the other side where you’ll see the upper creek. We went Nov 17th and one bathroom was open, very few people.

Quick easy hike with a huge payoff on the bridge below. It is down one way and a hike back up but it is only .5 miles.

We went when it had been raining pretty steady all day. We went counter clockwise from the parking lot and the way down was super Slippery, which added a lot of time to our trip. The rain slowed when we got down to the bridge so we stayed a bit. What a beautiful waterfall! Very quick hike, the incline and decline is very fast but over quick. Even with the rain, we saw lots of people of all ages and sizes going down and up. Definitely worth the stop

Great place to go with kids.... they can play inside the river... it is a beautiful park ... The stairs down are very very steep and uneven so do not go on a rainy day and if you cant easily go down and up almost 100 stairs some very high might want to just stay up at the park or see the waterfall from the top only.... Park is very clean so are the bathrooms..... Nature is so beautiful around there even just to drive by :)

Awesome little waterfall right off the road. Trail down to the bottom is mostly stairs and is definitely steep. Worth the hike! There are several other trails you can walk along the creek or gorge.

A 30 min steep loop trail for an amazing waterfalls view. Must do if you're around the area!40 mins from Syracuse. 17 mins from Green Lakes State Park.

This was my first hike in a decade. I didn't feel it till the following 3 days but it was so worth it. The falls are one of nature's most beautiful sites to capture. My 4 old did the hike with no complaints. It was fun.

Beautiful stop for fresh air on our drive home from the eclipse. Hiked with a small group of friends who had young children. Sadly there was a dead deer in plain sight at the lower bridge. Only the family bathroom is open right now.

Went on a Tuesday around 4pm so didn’t pay anything for parking. Beautiful and relaxing. Wasn’t crowded at all. Not a lot of walking, just some stairs to climb down to the falls viewing.

It's nice first of all that the cost is only $5 compared to other state parks. There's many trails, and one that takes you to the bottom and continues on to the other side of the Falls. They have quite a few of picnic tables and grills, pavillions.

I went to this park today and I have to say, it was way more than I ever could have hoped! After paying the (very reasonable) $5 per car entry fee and finding a place to park, which was easy seeing as it was 10 am on a Tuesday, I started down the Gorge Trail. (Side note: the bathrooms here are very clean and look newly constructed.) A word of warning: the trails are quite slippery, especially after rain, so I would strongly suggest wearing hiking boots or some type of grippy footwear. There are 5 main viewing points: 2 on either side of the top of the waterfall, 2 on either side about halfway down the waterfall and a footbridge at the base of the waterfall. All of them offer gorgeous views of the waterfall, but in my opinion the view from the footbridge outpaces all the others. The hike itself isn’t very difficult but it might offer some challenges for beginners due to how steep it is. I slipped a couple times on the way down but thankfully didn’t hurt myself. It might be difficult to tell from some of the pictures but the falls themselves are huge! I mean I know it says that they’re 167 feet tall but you don’t really realize how tall that actually is until you are staring it in the eye! The sheer amount of vegetation that is to be growing out of the rocks was also shocking to me! Like everywhere you look, there is some kind of plant that seems to be completely at home in a place you never would have thought possible! At first glance, I honestly thought I was in the Amazon rainforest, not central New York! In conclusion, I would very strongly recommend to anyone!

It's worth the hike back up. Some steep steps for short legs but overall not too bad. I am not a hiker. :)

Definitely need to wear the right shoes for those walk, which I didn't. My fault, of course. Beautiful falls. It's a downhill walk to see them, and the walk back up is a little tiring. We'll worth it!

Amazing hike, outstanding views, NOT stroller friendly to go down to the bridge. But we did it anyway 😉 It was gorgeous and we enjoyed taking lots of photos - my husband, baby, and I!

Loved that it wasn't too crowded this year! Bought our tickets ahead and got right in, kids had a blast, the pumpkins were huge, and the lines weren't long! Great day!

What a great place to come year-round with family, friends, or solo. They offer so many varieties - all delicious and many winning ribbons and medals. Very friendly staff. They have festivals throughout the year - you should follow them so you have access to that information. There's a large play area for the young ones, pumpkin picking, blueberry celebration. I love it there!

Enjoyed my visit here. Very friendly staff and the beers were delicious. Awesome views.

My grandchildren really enjoyed feeding the animals and playing on the play ground. I literally had to remove them kicking and screaming. Even late in October, there were many pumpkins 🎃 to choose from. We were able to purchase apples 🍎, which the kids picked out there own bags. I will visit again to enjoy the wine and beer tasting area. Overall great experience😊.

A cute farm for family with small children and those looking for a relaxing day. There are ciders, beers, farm animals, tractor and cow rides, apple picking, and more. Cost $10 to enter. Staffs are friendly.

We went for an afternoon of Fall and fun on the farm and were not disappointed! We started with some beverages in the tasting room, I ordered a flight that ranged from blonde, to summery sours, and pumpkin spice. All were tasty and surprisingly one of the sours was my favorite and one of the best sours I have sampled! My daughter had a hard cider float, and a Full size sour for her BF. Service was fast and friendly on a busy afternoon. After relaxing and enjoying beverages we were off to venture the farm. Live music playing in the lawn out front, more live music down by the tents offering fresh food of the grill. Burgers, hot dog, and sausage sandwiches were enjoyed hot off the grill. Also cider donuts and locally made cheddar cheese. We took a tractor ride into the apple orchard and picked out pumpkins in the patch. Visited with the animals and hit the gift shop for some fall goodies and fresh fudge! They also have a great corn maze! It was a Sunday full of family and Farm Fall fun!

I’m astonished, flabbergasted even that there is a hard cider for me out there. I have such a sensitive digestive system, heavy emphasis on sensitive, but the double vision cider is great for me! I’m able to drink it and enjoy myself without feeling unwell. It’s delicious and crisp and light. Critz also has an excellent salsa that I will keep coming back for and I can’t wait to try some of their other drink since the cider worked so well for me.

Visited Critz for the first time in years with my family! We got in with no parking issues, no wait lines. Plenty of space to park with a small fee. The pumpkin patch was huge and a great selection. Variety of kids activities to keep them occupied from tractor rides, animals, slides, and more. A great destination for fall activities. The little shop had all sorts of goodies, decent prices. Good food options all around. Will be back next year 😄

Loved the setup, kid friendly, great people, bartenders were awesome, place for the kids to play. The craft drinks were amazing, I highly recommend everyone stopping by if you are in the area!

Had a great time. There are lots of interesting farm related things to do. Beer and wine tasting, apple picking, pumpkin picking, cider, and doughnuts. Many activities for the kids. Including petting zoo, haunted house, playgrounds, and various games. Wagon rides are available. The gift shop is well stocked with trinkets and snacks to make your visit memorable. I recommend you check it out. But be aware that some dates will be better than others depending on what activities are going on.

Always the best experience at Critz. The beer and cider are on point. They have an amazing play area for the kids. Pick your own pumpkins and Christmas trees are a great price. Plus they often have great live music. Great place for the whole family and always friendly staff.

Kid friendly place for kids up to about age 12. There’s different hand built wooden play structures slides, and sand box for the kids to play on. We seen goats and and 2 small horses that come to the gate to be pet/fed. Adult drinks available and it’s free to enter. Was quiet and calm vibes besides the kids yelling. Would definitely go again, probably during fall when more is in season.

Stopped in for a cider and beer flight. Nice selection to choose from. They allowed dogs so we were able to stay and enjoy ourselves. The bartender was great.

We had our company picnic on Saturday during their Fall Harvest Celebration- and the whole experience was amazing. The owners of Critz farms have to be the nicest people I have met in a long time. When we were working on setting up the event, Critz had many different choices to find what would work best for our event. We were able to put a tent with tables and chairs for a private area for our employees to sit, right near all of the action. There was something for all ages- the kids LOVED the cow train and all of the animals. The adults loved the music, the beer and cider, and the maze. I would highly suggest using Critz farms for an event, you will NOT be disappointed!

Phew! This place is family friendly, fun, and everyone is nice. The atmosphere is relaxing and the snacks are tasty. This is a great place to take the children and the adults. The rides are fun, apple picking a must, and the experience is worth it. This place is a 5 out of 5!

Housed in the actual historic building that weighed the boats and cargo. You will learn a very good general history of the Erie Canal. If you like to read everything, it will take you 2-2.5 hours to go through the whole museum🤓 (start with the bottom floor). Also, they have two hour free parking! It is in the government employee lot across Erie Boulevard (entrance from James Street). Look in my posted pictures for the signs to look out for🙂

Great museum, very informative with interactive installations. Two floors with a lot of cool pieces upstairs as well as a children's area. The first floor also includes a line boat to walk through.This is also the welcome center and has a small gift shop. Definitely worth the visit.

Do not skip out on this museum! Great little find with a ton of information. I knew about the Erie Canal but did not appreciate the significance of it. The staff was excellent answering questions, offering tours and talking about the area.

This is a wonderful museum with a greatest staff. I went one day about 15 minutes before closing (4pm) then went back today to really tour. Both gentleman who were working were so very kind and inviting. This made my trip to Syracuse worth it!!!You will need a mask but if you don’t have one they will provide.There is so much History here! They have a 15-20 minute video on history before and after construction which is very good. It’s in a large room so not a small cramped area.They have a boat that was used to go down canal that you can walk through and take photos. I also learned that the street (Erie Canal Blvd) is where the canal ran until 1920.The Erie Canal was 363 miles long and ran from Albany to Buffalo. The grand opening was October 26, 1825. They will celebrate 200 years in 2025. Most of the canal no longer exist but along the canal cities have historical markets etc to keep memory going.This museum is the last existing Weighlock station. I think there were originally 83.I really enjoyed everything about this museum and so happy that I went back to enjoy the exhibits etc. I highly recommend that you stop by to visit museum and give yourself at least an hour to tour.They also have a nice little gift shop with plenty of items to chose from; magnets, t-shirts, candy, wooden pencils, coaster, books about Erie Canal for adults and children, and so much more!!It’s free but they would like if you donate $10 to museum. I definitely did do and spent quite a bit in gift shop both days!

This is a hidden gem. It is free (suggested 10 dollar donation). If you are in Syracuse and a history or civil engineering buff, you must come here.Before there was Hoover Dam, there was the Erie Canal.

This is a wonderful museum! Small but provides so much information about the construction of the Erie Canal without being overwhelming. There were several interactive exhibits as well.

We were welcomed by a wonderful staff member who was clearly well informed. We did the tour by following the arrows as advised, it was perfect. There are some interactive parts and lots of information readily available.There were spots where there were questions on dark red signs asking you to think deeper on a given topic which culminated in an opportunity to share your thoughts on the second floor.My favourite part was the boat you can walked through. The blue dress in the second floor is a close second because of how beautiful it is.

This place doesn't excellent job at hosting schools for field trips. They do have on hand learning hunts that are available. However, we made our own escape room hunt for our students. It took them just over 2 hours to do for middle school and they absolutely loved that all the exhibits were hands-on for them. The best part was that they could go on to the barge and they really enjoyed being able to complete the activities at different exhibits. Bringing them back next year.

Small but interesting museum to show the history of the Erie Canal as well as how it transformed the economic landscape of this part of NY state. Admission is 10 for adult and 4 for children. If you go there on Sunday, there is free parking just on the road outside. There is also a model barge housed in the historic weighing toll station. The videos are quite educational to explain how the weight station and lock work. The photos will transform you back to the early days of canal construction and operation.

Amazing exhibit of the transportation method that turned New York State into an empire.The exhibit has some but not many spaces that are interactive for kids.A promise of offering indigenous perspectives, for whom European expansion was a genocide, is promised.

We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The exhibits were very well done - from standard photos and historical information to audio, video, and interactive activities. We live further south, and it was all railroads and cattle trails as that area was settled. Being able to take in the scale of the Erie canal project and the incredible amount of labor performed before the advent of the Industrial Age was such a great experience. Also, learning of how the building itself (once a weigh lock on the original canal) was saved from demolition, of the shameful practice of redlining, and the present-day efforts to right those wrongs was an unexpected and much appreciated bit of area history

Free entry museum (donations recommended) with a cute gift shop inside. The first floor is mostly for the canal, the second floor is other localized history. Super neat! There's also a canal boat you can walk through. Restrooms are on the second floor.

Great museum if you are interested in learning about the Erie Canal and life of the people who worked/lived there. I loved all of the history and culture, learning about this mode of transportation while gleaning a little insight on Syracuse NY.

A small but very interesting museum. We were just passing through, and decided to check this out. We didn't know anything about the Erie canal prior to our visit.The museum is in an actual weigh-lock that was part of the canal's system of weighing barges to collect tolls. The museum consists of displays detailing the construction of the canal, and its importance, and you can walk through a barge and look at the old office. Upstairs are a few displays of the interiors of period buildings (not as interesting as downstairs). There is also a small gift shop, with a selection of books on the canal.Well worth a visit.

Highly recommend! It's located in the original weighlock building from when the canal ran through Syracuse. Free entry (recommended $10 donation). I learned a TON about the region's history and the significance of the canal system. They have a couple of canal boats preserved; you can walk through one. There's a small gift shop. I got through in 2 hours while reading everything.

A formerly wonderful museum that detailed the extraordinary efforts resulting in the completion of the Erie canal. Many great exhibits, including a complete canal boat from the 1850 canal era.Unfortunately, like many parts of our society, they have given themselves fully over to self-loathing and to inaccurate and ugly historical judgments. Someone, probably someone of below average IQ who has an inflated sense of self-worth and a desire to assuage their own guilt, has gone through the museum and added plaques to many of the exhibits detailing the great wrongs that are not mentioned in the exhibit.This is the typical response of a certain low IQ segment of our society when they come to the realization that not everything was as ideal as they would like it to be several hundred years ago. Instead of celebrating the wonderful efforts that resulted in this incredible historic achievement, they would rather spend more time talking about anything that they deem to be unpleasant.It is disgusting and the height of ingratitude. What a sad thing that this once worthwhile museum is being taken over by this type of thinking. Do not support this by visiting. If you do visit, do not pay anything to go in.

We drove up from PA to see Marcus King. Wow what a beautiful theater! It looked like we were in a little palace.We had seats in the Loge section. I went back and forth between loge and balcony when selecting seats and I’m glad I chose the loge. The balcony wasn’t too far separated and it really is a small theater so I don’t think there would be any bad seats. I’m sure the sound would have been a bit better if we were more in the center versus the side but overall the sound was good.Marcus King really showcased the whole band and gave an outstanding performance.The women’s restrooms were clean and the line moved fast. Beer, wine, cocktails, other drinks and snacks were available on all floors. That line didn’t move as fast as the bathroom but the bartenders were all very upbeat and they were moving quick.We parked at the Trolley lot. That was around $9 if I remember correctly. The walk from there to the venue was a couple blocks. There was a big event at Clinton Square this day so several streets were closed and most of the street parking was full. It probably would be easier to find a spot in the street (free after 6p I believe) on a normal day.

Went to see A Nutcracker with a Twist and it was excellent!! Excellent production they did an outstanding job. If you haven't been to this before I would strongly recommend you attend this show you will not be disappointed! Standing ovation was given at the end of the show!!😃

The Landmark has always been a wonderful place for the people of Syracuse to gather for a live performance. The art deco woodwork and architecture is exquisitely opulent example of plush grandeur of the Roaring Twenties. I can say with pride that I saw my first ever concert here, which was Alice In Chains in 2014. I have also seen Bob Weir & the Wolf Bros here as well as Marcus King earlier this month on June 8th, 2024. It all came full circle at the Marcus King show, where I experienced my first VIP access package. It was really remarkable to meet Marcus and spend a few moments chatting with him. The Landmark Theatre has always been a Syracuse Landmark and always will be.

I always love the landmark theater. It’s an amazing historic building. Even if you don’t go up to see a show here I would recommend stopping by if it’s open to see the inside and the amazing decor and wall painting and detail I saw Aladdin the other day, and the show was amazing; the security and staff are always decent, especially the volunteer ushers. The two older ladies at the box office, they could maybe use a little extra customer service training, however.

Gorgeous historic theater. Surprisingly comfortable seats, even in the nose bleeds.Insanely ornate, and something to look at for hours without getting bored.Due to all the filigree and age, can seem dark and a little dirty, but that is only the age. Great sound and lighting.

Beautiful older theater! Great place for entertainment and shows! The only down side is the seats are close,but that just makes you closer to your seat buddies for shows!! The balcony is nice to it comes half way across the orchestra seating! It’s one of the bigger balcony’s I have seen. The stairs were just beautiful to look at which is why I took pictures of the stairway leading up to the balcony in case you were curious. The sound was great throughout the whole theater!! Plus, if you are wheelchair bound I would recommend floor seats In the orchestra area. The balcony doesn’t have an elevator to get you up there due to the age of the theater. Remember this place was built long before I was born. 🎭

I absolutely love this theater. I wish I could attend more events. The seats are a little tight so if you have a special need you may want to research the location of your seat.

I did not feel safe with the Palestine rally outside and the parking was overwhelming but overall I had a good time at Jerry Seinfeld (I had no time to get good pictures)!

I only give this theatre 2 Stars because of the parking issue while attending STARPOWER Dance Competition. My daughter was in 7 Dances, and with having a HUGE costume bag, dance backpacks, and a cosmetic trolly it was extremely difficult to walk 2 blocks with all of that baggage in the rain. Then we got out late on Friday night and our car was locked in the garage. The stress level that caused the dancers was unnecessary. The Dance comp was a success but the stress level of parking was REAL!

The concert was awesome! The bathrooms were clean and drinks were reasonably priced, so all in all, we couldn't have asked for a better time. Bush was great, and the bands leading up to them were entertaining.

Went to see Lindsay Sterling. She was an excellent performer! High energy, violin, dancing & singing and played her version of all Christmas songs. She's incredible ! Theater is beautiful as always!

We went and saw Hades Town here. I have seen many fantastic concert performances here including Bruce Springsteen, Jason Isbell and the Cranberries. It's a beautiful venue. Go there.

I just saw Six: The Musical here and I already can’t wait to go back and see another show! It’s a classic ornate theatre that brings in many performers and shows for reasonable prices. Parking (I parked on the street, but there are lots and parking garages nearby) and getting into the venue were easy and fairly quick. I sat in the front row of the mezzanine (the picture is a view of the stage from my seat) which had a great view. Definitely recommend!

I recently seen Bush here & they 🎸 rocked the house!! The opening bands were excellent too!! Eva Under Fire 🔥 & Bad Wolves!!Gabin Rossdale is an amazing performer & person. He ran down the isle, I wanted him to high five me, but he whipped by so quickly I touched his arm!!! That was good enough for me!! And I may add happily that man has some smooth skin!!I was so impressed with the inside of this theater. What a beautiful layout. Very intricate with the gold & wood work throughout it.I would definitely come here again.Bartenders were on their game severing up the place. We ended up with Rockstar parking, not too shabby!! 😉The whole experience was AMAZING!!

The Theatre is so beautiful. It's a great place to see a concert. You have a good seat anywhere in the venue. The lobby is gorgeous with lots of intricate details. Highly recommend going here.

The Lindsey Stirling holiday concert held at the Landmark Theatre was absolutely amazing.My experience was filled with gratitude and amazement.The architecture and care of the venue is welcoming and clean.I would recommend all to visit and experience the quality and care the staff put into maintaining a lovely theater in downtown Syracuse.I will be returning for another performance soon ❤️

We did a tour of the Landmark Theatre. It was great to see the behind the scene places and to learn the history.

Love this theater! It’s large enough for grand performances but small enough to feel intimate. I have attended several of the Broadway productions, children’s shows and the Nutcracker a few times. Always a great experience! My only suggestion is eat before you go. The snacks are very limited to candy.

Saw Avatar in concert there last night! Absolutely amazing experience! Gorgeous spacious theatre no complaints from me!

Destiny USA shopping mall in Syracuse is a one place to do shopping, food kids activities, it’s a entertainment complex altogether. The mall is so huge and not crowded at all. It has got a well planned layout and parking is adequate around the mall. Macy’s is so huge and has a lot of collections. The food court has a variety of restaurants. There are also a lot of kids entertainment activities including imax, glow golf, mirror maze, RPM racing etc.

Huge mall, tons to see and do. It's definitely a place to bring your kids and burn energy. Plus, as you enter you can take pictures by the I heart New York sign, I would recommend

Had a great experience, so many options at the food court, many activities for kids. Got everything under one roof. Superb layout with its own unique touch. Roaming around was fun eventhough could not get into all the stores. Not so crowded even on the weekends because of the huge space it possess.

My biggest issue is that the mall is not very handicapped friendly in the sense that the most convenient handicap accessible entrance by The Cheesecake Factory has one handicap spot meanwhile the farthest entrance across the road has 20 and there are also constant problems with the escalators and elevators not working. I parked in one of the Cheesecake Factory parking spots because that's where I was eating and I also had my handicap sign in the window and they still towed me..$300 later and I am not a happy camper eith how they handle the disabled.

It was an impressive experience to visit Destiny Mall for the first time. It’s a huge mall and has everything under one roof! Great for families and kids. I really enjoyed shopping, eating and walking around! Great brand options. Definitely worth the visit 🤩

Very family friendly mall with a lot of activities for kids, including the famous carousel, a ropes course two floors up, go carts, animal scooters, several toy/game/comics stores, and Tykes Tuesdays festivals with performers like Andyroo & the Andyrooniverse!

Good size mall but doesn't look crowded. Lots of food courts and restaurants, with quite a good selection of entertainment places. Closes very early at 6pm tho. Would come back and explore more.

For a mall of its size, the lack of people here was very surprising, especially on a Friday evening. We have been to the large malls in CT, MA, and NH recently and they all had significantly more foot traffic and more interesting stores, even though they are maybe only 50%-60% the square footage of Destiny USA. I don't know the background behind the 18+ policy so maybe it's helped with safety and shoplifting, but it also seems to be killing the foot traffic.

I am visiting from Canada and we chose this mall as it is closest to my city. I've been to this mall on multiple locations throughout various years and I've never been disappointed. It has a good mix of high-end shops like Kate Spade, Coach, etc to others like Five Below and Burlington. The same can be said about their food with the mix of food court regulars to others like Cheesecake Factory and Margaritaville. I really went on 2 floors plus the 2 shops on the base level and I was there from about 1030 til 4 with a break for food at the food court.

I really like this mall! It’s big, clean, and has lots to do for all ages. My grandkids love going there because there are so many things to do that they love! They have a very cool antique carousel and car racing to name a few.

Beautiful spacious mall. It is very easy to get lost in if you're used to regular small malls. There are very few signs telling you where things are.

A great and huge mall with so many things to do! Make sure you check directory from website so you can better plan your visit there. From merry go around, rides, arcade games (Dave’s buster), indoor playground(Billy beez), rope course, movies, and interactive museum, shopping, and food! When I visited this mall for the first time I was amazed on how huge it was. The mall around my area is small but I got to tell you Destiny USA is the best mall ever. It’s not crowded even on the weekends, there are MANY fun activities for anyone to do. I recommend glow in the dark mini golf in the basement level for any Mini golfers. And if you like big arcades go to Dave and Busters! Great, well-kept mall!

Visiting from Canada and wanted to do some shopping, and we chose this mall as it had the most reviews.We spent 3hrs here, and found the deal to be average at best. Walden Galleria in Buffalo was way better.Maybe it wasn't a great sale time (Oct 15) but the stores seem to claim that on their hoardings.The movie complex her seems great, but we found it pricey so skipped it. $26 USD IMAX is a lot, and I thought Canada is expensive. (It is 😝)

Admission was 9$/ adult, which was reasonable. Was very impressed at the large variety of animals. Everything was really clean, animals looked healthy and well cared for; enclosures were quite large and had lots of enrichment. The aviary building had to be my favorite, lots of exotic beautiful birds with a pond and lots of plants. I'd definitely recommend and would visit again.

Very nice and small zoo. Although its small and does not have an extreme amount of animals it does have some cool enclosures where you can get a close up look of the animals! I especially like the elephant enclosure where we were very close to the elephants. They apparently have twin elephants too!

We came to the zoo on a rainy day, and it was an EXCELLENT experience. It's easy to see many of the exhibits from indoors, and most of the larger enclosures also had viewing areas with rooves. The animals did not seem to mind the rain, and it was easy to see anything we wanted with no crowds! The animals also seemed very well cared for. There were many staff members giving talks, and we were able to learn a lot about the penguins and sloths this way. My 4 year old was able to walk all day without complaint, and the cafe had a variety of food choices, including vegetarian options. If we lived closer, I would love to have a membership here.

What a great little zoo! Clean, very well maintained, loved how geared it was towards kids' interactions with the environments. It's a small zoo, but it feels big! The grounds are beautiful. Loved the penguins and ducks. I didn't take many photos because we were too busy running around. Clean, accessible bathrooms and a nice cafe accompany the zoo. We didn't get to see their tiger because she'd just had babies!

There are quite a few zoos around in Syracuse but we decided to visit Rosamond Gifford. It's kind of funny that the zoo is right next to a neighborhood of houses, versus in Toronto where you have to trek further to visit the zoo.This zoo is about two hours to finish and I really appreciated the layout, which was easy to follow without missing any attractions and/or needing to go back and forth. Lots of the animals were very lively like the monkeys, tiger, and penguins. Their elephant area is also spectacular! The way they have made their viewing areas are also very well done as they were where the animals tend to like to rest and/be present. The animals looked very well treated and well-kept, for example, their donkey which didn't look ratchet like some other ones I've seen at other zoos. One of my favorite exhibits is their nocturnal area which was a bit of an "eye spy" experience.There's lots of parking in their lot.

This was one of the coolest zoos I have been to. When we went they had a dragon 🐉 all through out the park. Not sure if those will be temporary but they were cool to look at and hearing my son say wow look at that one it's big was priceless

I've been to this zoo twice and loved it both times. Our family recently visited from Canada, and we loved seeing all the animals. Most of the enclosures were fairly big, and we saw a lot of keepers putting in items for enrichment. We love the variety of animals and that you can learn about each one if you take the time to read the information in front of the enclosures.When we visited, it was HOT, so we absolutely LOVED and greatly appreciated the misting stations so we could keep cool.This zoo isn't huge, you could definitely see everything at a leisurely pace in 1 to 1.5 hours, but again, the variety of animals was great.There is PLENTY of seating, indoors and out, and there's a nice little cafe you can order a quick lunch.Last but not least, the price is right. Honestly, they could probably charge a little more, but we do appreciate a good deal, and visiting the Rosamond Gifford zoo was an absolute STEAL.Thank you for an amazing visit, and thank you for being a zoo that clearly cares for the wellbeing of the animals in your care.

Great for a couple hours afternoon outing! Small and quaint with so many animals to explore! We love all of them but the elephants are definitely our favorite! Had a great time with our 13 year old daughter.

Lovely place to visit!!! Got to see lots of animals! First time seeing the baby elephants and they are adorable! They have indoor and outdoors. There’s also a cafe there for food and drinks but you’re welcome to bring your own.

One of the better zoos I have visited in the country. They take care of the animals, they have nice and large enclosures and are clean. We always come here when visiting family as veterans/military and Thier families get free admission.

The zoo we arrived at noon had a busy parking lot, but there were still places to park. We didn't have to queue when we went in, we bought tickets inside and soon started our visit. The design inside was great and the visit was not tiring, but I think I will come back again.

I love elephants. The zoo is a little modest but it's clean and well maintained and the animals are always active. With the big group of elephants they have I couldn't have a bad experience if I tried.

I recently visited a really nice zoo that exceeded my expectations. The variety of animals was impressive, with species from all over the world. The sloths, in particular, were amazing and definitely a highlight of the trip. The enclosures were well-maintained, and the animals seemed healthy and well-cared for. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, perfect for families and animal lovers alike.

This zoo is fantastic! We saw so many animals we’ve never seen or even knew excited. Well priced and not too crowded for a Tuesday. Very well kept grounds with beautiful spaces for animals. The staff was friendly and helpful, ample parking and bathrooms with water fountains. The shop was great and so was the coffee shop, the only bummer is that they ran out of iced coffee. Lovely zoo!!!!

excellent zoo. they put a lot of focus on both local and global conservation and the importance of ecosystems. they also have great animals, that didn't seem unhealthy or stressed. one of the best zoos I've been to in terms of well cared for animals and species variety. we also got super excited to see the huge koi!!!

I was very impressed with the amount of animals that were available to see! There wasn't a ton of walking but still a reasonable size. The gift shop was also very affordable which I wasn't expecting. There were several different types of exhibits throughout the zoo. Overall I was very impressed! Will definitely be returning!Ticketing prices were also extremely affordable ($9 for adults and children 2 and under free) however unavailable to purchase ahead of time online.

I went as part of a conference. We had the zoo all to ourselves and was provided a clambake dinner that was made by an all female chef crew! The staff we kind and helpful. It's a nice zoo on the smaller side so it's not an all day affair. I don't live locally to Syracuse, but if I did I would definitely buy a seasons pass. It's nice and relaxing just to walk around and enjoy. They also offer a 5 course themed dinner once a month. I would go back to experience that.

The best zoo in the state of New York. It was so clean and pleasant to walk through. And it doesn't smell like every animal took a dumb. Staff does incredible job keeping the place extremely clean. Because they care about there job.

Highly recommended for family and everyone fascinating about an open, huge zoo ground that is convenient and easily accessible educational spots to learn more about animals, and the nature around. Weather was just perfect either way breezy wind just right for this al fresco safari-sort ambience. Right in Syracuse.

We love it here. It really is our favorite drive in. However, tonight's start wasn't so great. Lots of people using recreational drugs and being disruptive and loud. There were a lot of distracting behavior from patrons during the movie, especially the first movie. A person even have the nerve to pull up next to us super close so they could be next to their friends in the truck next to them. WASN'T EVEN A DESIGNATED SPOT! There was an empty spot right in the row in front of us. He almost scratched the side of our truck. We had to move just to be able to open the driver side door. Which we did during intermission. We were exactly where we were suppose to be parked as instructed. It doesn't appear that anybody from the staff check even though they say they strictly enforce the parking spot rules. Also, the person at the confessions never smiled once. Bad night? Short handed, we can forgive, First time that's ever happened. I wish they would have staff walk around and check the grounds. Hopefully people read this. Please be considerate to those actually watching the movie. Follow the rules, KEEP YOUR LIGHTS OFF SO WE CAN WATCH THE MOVIE! Thanks.

Cheap, movies are amazing. If they 3 movies the night you, you can stay for all 3 for the price of one. Food is great, fair price. 😋 Always good for families night, date night or going solo. Definitely would recommend, a real gem of upstate new york

Excellent, and the staff are all very friendly! Family owned and operated, this might be a dinosaur in the movie business, but it's definitely worth checking out at least once in your life! The family who owns this place take great pride in their work here, and it shows with how they interact with customers!The price is so worth it as $10 at the door, and you choose it's value as you can choose whether to leave after 1, 2, (or on some nights, 3) movies! (PLUS its already cheaper than the normal movie theater, so it's already worth it for the one movie, and I think kids under a certain age are free!). I love coming here and watching the new movies outside! They have a small food service area with good food (Popcorn, burgers, hotdogs, snacks, drinks, and more!). Your ticket to get in the door ALSO is a chance to win a free pizza, so don't lose it! OH, and on most Sundays, they typically hold open-caption night, so deaf people can attend too! (Not always though, depends on the feature!)They also sometimes do old retro showings of older movies too! And they usually host a Dusk-til-Dawn showing at least once a year with 5 movies!Website might be a tad old/outdated, but the owners do try to keep it updated!Small things to note: - The movies start a bit after sunset, so it's a long night if you wanna stay for all 3 features, but it's definitely fun with a group of friends! (usually kid-friendly/safe movies are shown first, so it's good for the family too, and you can leave once the movie ends!)- Go early to find a good spot to park! (most nights the gates open at 7)- OH, bring a small radio or boombox with batteries if you don't wanna drain your car battery, their sound runs through the actual FM radio! (BUT NO WORRIES, they have jumpcables on site if your car battery runs low!)- BRING CASH, as they're currently not taking credit cards.- IF You don't wanna sit in your car, bring a blanket or a chair to sit on!- Bring bug spray, those mosquitoes are feisty, but if you're prepared, they'll leave you alone to enjoy your movies in peace!

I haven't been to a drive in movie theater in 27 years. Not much has changed except the movies and the sound quality because the sound comes over your car's speakers. It was a great experience that I was able to share with my 7 and 8 year old granddaughters who absolutely loved it!

It was my very first time visiting this establishment Sunday. Will not be our last ☺️ thanks for a good time! And a clean area to enjoy the movies.

Been going here since I was 5, my Dad as a kid saw a man building it while riding his bike.And since he was born 10/31/31, I'd say it's been around a few years.Still a good deal, family friendly, still needs bigger bathrooms, it always has.Seems a little strange not to see Big John when we're here now, I swear at times you can feel he's here?.

Thank you so much for playing the old school Twister and the new Twisters movie together. Was so happy as the old movie is my favorite movie by far. Coming from a weather nerd, the music played before that had to do with weather was an excellent bonus. We chanced the rain and were fortunate not to get any. Just some lightning for a little bit off in the distance which added to the effect of the movie. We may not have got home til 3:15am but it was totally worth it! The theater was very well kept and everything went smoothly.

Visited recently for the first time in many years for the Horror Fest! I wish I had known this was going on, this year was their 9th year.The lineup was great, a quadruple feature with two new hit movies and some amazing others from last season. Really happy to get to see both Exorcist, and Saw in one night.Confessions were reasonably priced which is crazy in today’s world.I would recommend anyone go as often as they can. We will be regulars next season and can’t wait for the 10th annual horror fest next year!

Always a great time at this family-operated drive-in! The midway has been around for roughly 75 years at the time of this review and you can tell they haven't lost their charm. The owners are extremely enthusiastic about the place and make it a great time for families.

It's been a while since I have been to a drive in. This one as a matter of fact. It brings back childhood memories. I miss being there. Unfortunately I do not miss the mosquitos haha. The food here is typical movie food and quite reasonably priced. It's great to reminisce but being the bug spray.

First time here with my wife and It was awesome. Idk why it took us so long to get out here! Haven’t been to a drive in since high school and used to go all the time as a kid so it was super nostalgic. We’ll definitely be returning!! Prices are extremely fair and the staff is friendly.

Its fun. For those that have never experienced a drive-in, it is a good time. Movies are shown as double or triple features. You can watch 2 or 3 movies for the the cinema price of one.Enjoy the concessions or bring your own snacks, food and drink. The food is good; pizza, fries, nachos, burgers, dogs, etc. This place has been in business for 70 years. The nostalgia and people that like like that nostalgia keep it afloat. Great family fun, great for couples.

One of my favorite summer traditions. If you haven't been, check it out. Food is great and reasonably priced!

Soooooooo many bugs. Not a bad lay out. Bathrooms were kept clean through both movies. Snack bar is pricey but average for to days market.

This place is phenomenal. Just outstanding trail system, I did about 7 miles, it’s a little over 9 miles of trails. Lot of benches and easy hiking, it does cost $ 5 but so worth it just do it

Beaver Lake is a great leveled trail for those with issues on trails elevation changes. The Lake Loop around lake is about 3 miles and has some great spots to stop and just take in the environment. Very kid friendly given the intermittent trails like Hemlock Hollow or the Woodland trail. Don’t forget to keep an eye open for the frogs in green swampy water. The kids will love to see them poke their heads out 👍

What a great place to hike in the winter! Great trail all the way around the lake, very accessible. About 3 miles around with lots to see. Nature center has nice restrooms, a shop, docents, and a bird viewing area.

Always a nice spot for a walk. Masks are required while passing someone on a path.Update: social distancing is encouraged. Masks are personal preference. During our last visit we got within 10 ft of a deer family quietly eating and sun bathing - they surprised us more than we surprised them. Also saw a few snapping turtles, a bald eagle, handful of cardinals, a great blue heron and a weasel swimming during our walk around the lake trail.

My husband and I really love this place. The trails are all so different and large enough to where you don’t see or run into a lot of other people. Plus, all the ferns in the woods are incredibly beautiful!

Great place to hike! A good variety of trails as far as lengths. A little slippery on the winter decks over the watershed so be careful!$5 parking or a year long membership is about $30. The membership is worth it as they then communicate with you about all the events they have there. They have good events there!

May is a great time of year for Frogs!The nature center and bathrooms are well maintained with an excellent educational exhibit. Areas for entertainment and a variety of hikes and trails to walk. I recommend snacks and water for the 3mi trail but its mostly flat and lots of great respit areas.$5 per car.

Ample parking, you pay $5 when you leave to park. They have lots of different trails to walk. Shorter trails and some longer ones. Lots of shade on most of the trails which keeps you cooler while walking/ hiking them. Family friendly aswell which is nice. The nature center has a spot where you can watch birds inside.We saw lots yellow finches & cardinals at the bird watch area in the nature center. Plenty of different benches available to sit while walking the trails which was nice. We even got to see a baby deer . It was laying near one of the walking trails. So one of the workers helped to guide it towards a part of the woods close by that didn't have alot of hikers. They have a smell,touch,taste ,see area near the nature center for patrons. A little frog pond aswell.A gift shop is also located inside the nature center. You can even rent kayaks I believe on the weekends at certain times of the year . Nice place to hike and have a picnic by yourself or with family. No bikes are allowed on the trails.

The only local hiking area I actively dislike, and I have been to them all. I've tried this place maybe half a dozen times trying to give it a chance but it remains unenjoyable. If you have a giant group of children, this is definitely the place to go, but if you want to enjoy nature this is not. I have never been on a day where it is not overrun with what must be schools or camps of unsupervised children screaming at the tops of their lungs. There must be a shooting range somewhere nearby and no matter how far you get into the trails you hear nonstop screaming and gunshots. Not a peaceful combo. This is also the one and only local nature trail where I have found garbage discarded along the trails every single visit. Not dog friendly. Overall, it's not a good time for anyone hoping to see wildlife, enjoy nature, or hike. Luckily we live in an area with numerous other wonderfully maintained nature trails.

Attended the Beaver Lake's Coffeehouse featuring Colin Aberdeen and had an awesome time. Very intimate setting, sound was crystal clear, and the performance was incredible.This was the last Coffeehouse concert for the season. Even though I am a little disappointed there aren't any more shows for a while, I now have something to forward to when it returns.

What a gem of a park! A very nice welcome center with a small gift shop and clean restrooms. There is a place inside the welcome center that overlooks several bird feeders so you can sit and watch the many birds and squirrels that visit the feeders.There are several trails at the park with, in my opinion, the best of them being the Lake Loop trail which is a 3 mile, well marked trail that will take you through the woods, around the lake and through a few bogs. There are a few spots along the trail that lets you view the entire lake.They have kayak and canoe rentals so if you want to take a paddle around the lake, they have you covered.Helpful and knowledgable staff on hand at the welcome center to help you with any questions you may have.Entrance to the park is only 5 dollars and that is a bargain!

This place is a gem and well worth the $5.00 admission fee. The trails are well marked and well groomed. They are easy to traverse as well. One could easily spend a few hours here

Skydiving for the first time @ Skydive Central New York was hands down the best experience of my life. Jumping with my instructor, JER BEAR, at 10,000 feet on a beautiful day was exhilarating. The views were stunning, we could see the five Finger Lakes, The JMA Dome, and Lake Ontario.All the team is super friendly, helpful, and incredibly professional, making me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way.When I'm ready for Skydive #2, I know it will be at Skydive CNY!I recommend 1000/10!!!

First time skydiving! Both Jer Ber and Kevin were phenomenal. We went on a day that was so clear they were able to point everything out to us. They made this experience so much more than a good memory. Thank you guys for being awesome!

I took my 18 year old daughter for her first jump as a graduation gift and can not think of a better father/daughter day. Great views, great people, great equipment and just a great time. The instructors were super fun and friendly and dealt with our sarcasm and odd sense of humor perfectly. They are obviously seasoned professionals and ensure safety is paramount while maintaining a fun atmosphere. I will absolutely return to do this again. This may have started as a bucket list item but will likely become a yearly (or more) event and I will do it every time with Skydive Central New York. Thanks you all, hope to see you again soon!

First time jumper, and so happy I did my jump here. Everyone was super nice, and helped ease the nerves/anxiety around skydiving. Absolutely beautiful place to jump. I jumped with Timmy, who was amazing. I thought I'd be more scared to do the jump, but Timmy and the rest of the team are so skilled, you know you're in safe hands.

Went for my second tandem jump last week and was even more blown away than the first time. Kevin and Jeremy were our instructors and they are a blast. They definitely know how to ease the fear and tension that may come with a jump and make sure that the students have a great, unforgettable time. I could not recommend this place enough! Thank you all who work here, I look forwarding to jumping with you again!

I would give this business a 1,000 out of 10! This was my second jump and my friend's first and we both felt safe and had a fun and an amazing experience. All of the staff were friendly and that just made it so much better. The view that we saw from the plane was breathtaking and the actual jump was fantastic! If you're looking for a place to experience your first skydive or to just get that adrenaline rush, I highly recommend Skydive CNY!

Took my son for his graduation gift. Experience of a lifetime. Staff and crew could not have been better. They did an amazing job teaching and taking care of us, all while keeping the energy high and positive. If you're on the fence at all, go for it! Will definitely return.
